Unbelievable looking course. Such a run of awesome events on the Euro tour.

Played there in 2001. Seriously good ...and hard. You could hide a tank in the rough!

I don't think he had a 3 putt, but he certainly missed a long of makeable putts!!! I think finished the round with 33putts.

    Default 2018 European Tour

The putt on one was horrendous. But in saying that he probably spent <5 minutes on the putting green after warming up on the range. I’ve watched him 3-4 times and he just hits putts seemingly with no actual plan.

It’s like he’s warming up for a Sunday down the local.

    It’s noticeable too.

I saw him on the putting green just before he teed off too and on his first or second putt he had a horrendous horseshoe lip out! I guess that set the tone for the day. Except that one actually hit the hole. The first putt on 4 (the first par 5?) didn't even get near the hole from short range for eagle.

So good watching the European Tour. Great golf, great location, great course. So good to see Pro's making tap in's on the green as well without marking them and lining them up for 5 minutes and all that shit like they do on the PGA Tour. Did I say the course looks amazing!

Fox very unlucky. Knox was super lucky to run through the fairway bunker on the playoff hole. Making consecutive bombs on 18 too. It proves the old adage, drive for show, putt for dough.

Fox gets an Open berth out of it and adds yet another fat cheque from a Rolex event.

He’s going ok in these the last two years.

Ryan picked up NZD $1,144,708 for his runner up finish so it's hard to feel too sorry for him!

He's a big unit, I wonder if he played Rugby as a kid given his dad is Grant Fox.

Apparently played every sport he could as a kid, all at full pelt. Allegedly stuck to golf because the rugby guys gave him a bit extra because he was the son of Grant Fox.

Good player. You'd think there is a win in him soon, particularly in a weak field event like the Portugal Masters or Dutch Open.

I put Erik Van Rooyen in the same category. Looks a bit like Dustin Johnson and swings a bit like him too.

Terrific Tournament. Magnificent course on TV, and to think it doesn't quite get put in the top tier with Ballybunion and Portrush. I dare say this event, and PortStewart last year, would boost golf tourism in Ireland by multiple times. I would absolutely go there for a golf tour if I could.
