Jarro, what type of MP3 player are you looking for??

A small flash based (and therefoe fixed size) player like in the link?

You then have removable memory players that take CF cards etc (same memory as your digital cameras).

Then you have larger Hard Drive based players like Apple Ipods. I have a 40GB Ipod, will set you backclose to $600 but are fantastic.

I guess you have to figure out what you want to use it for, and then base your choice on that.

    Checkout http://www.mp3direct.com.au

They have a great range of all the styles of players.

mate i'd actually like one the same as the one in my link..... nothing flash, just something to keep me from getting bored as i drive around the tarmac on these cold, cold nightshifts

One with AM/FM radio would be good too.. but they only seem to come with FM

If you want an Mp3 player that is a phone and gameboy as one then try the NOKIA Ngage...I have one, got it cheap and it is superb You need to buy a memory card to get the MP3 part working but it is only around $50 off ebay for a 128mb card

    iPod.

All you need - nothing compares. No, i don't have one but it's only a matter of time

No idea of the cost of some of these gadgets, but if you're talking 'bang-for-buck' nothing comes close.

exactly....by the time you fork out $150-$200 for a 128mb flash player, you might as well have bought a 20gb ipod for a couple hundred more...plus they look cool

    I.e.

    20 Gb iPod = 5000+ songs.
    128 mb = 30-40.

This is Jarro asking here......so all he needs is a "on and off" switch

Anything else and he's lost like me
