They did the same thing last year. It will be my go-to channel whenever there is nothing else of interest on Fox this week.

I always like watching old golf tourneys just to see which 'promising young players' went on to confirm the predictions of the commentators, and which didn't.

Jeff Quinney was one of those players in the event I saw earlier. I think it may have been 1997. I'll have to google him. because I'm not sure if he ever did anything of note since that event.

The other notable thing about that footage is that the NBC commentary crew was the same then as it is now. Dan Hicks, Johnny Miller, Gary Koch and Roger Maltbie have all been doing the same role for over 20 years. It isn't a bad effort.

Watched Greg and both of Elkington’s last night. Gee Elkington hit the ball like a boss. Dominated the final day in 97.

Jim did you notice Dan Hicks had a full head of hair?? Looks like he’s got a ridiculous rug on.

Johnny Miller with the super tips and his commentary style hasn’t changed a bit.

Bushy, there is always those polls about whose swing you would want........Elk as good as it gets for mine. From his Twitter, seems like he loves the gas as well, another reason to like him.

Norman’s ‘94 win is on now. Makes a nice change from masters week, being able to watch him play without the feeling of dread waiting for it to go horribly wrong at the end.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Yep. I’m with you there. Just looks like nothing can go wrong with it and the tempo is perfect. Loves his Bourbon, could be a good night out with him on the gas.

I have to admit I get a real kick out of watching these older events where the guys are hitting driver-3 iron on 18 or Mark Brooks hitting 1 iron to a par 3. Even on 17 they’re hitting 8 irons instead of today’s Gap wedges.

    No comments on Phil's shirt?

When I used to leave the office and play a late 9 holes during daylight saving time I used to change my shirt. Phil just took his tie off. Didn't even roll his sleeves up.

Right up there with Woody Austin's tabasco sauce bottle shirt for the worst ever, I reckon.

What do you mean Jim?? I’m watching the replay and Faldo hasn’t shut up about that bloody shirt.

“Those sleeves are creating too much velocity...”

“Wow no green on those sleeves...”

“Phil won’t be wearing long sleeves tomorrow...”

I meant on this site. I am amazed that fashion guru Leftyhoges didn't provide an opinion.

In other news, Adam Scott is using a 910D3 driver and a broomstick he used in 2011, according to Golf Digest.

Where has this come from for Webb Simpson? Pretty sure even parring it home will be the course record.

I never saw the shirt today but I'm liking Phil in the long sleeve office shirt. He's probably the only guy on tour who could pull it off, being a clean cut square and all.

The only issue I have with it is he looks like an accountant and we all know about Phil & taxes.

He also looks like an alter boy and we all know about alter boys.

    Hides his tits well though.

If he keeps playing like he did this week he’ll only need to wear it M-F anyway.

A long sleeve shirt worked for Bobby Jones. He even wore a Tie. Perhaps Rory or Rickie could give it a try?, along with some high tops!

Ryan Moore wore a tie for a little bit. I think it worked on him but I'm not sure about Phil's long sleeves.

Webb Simpson's on fire. That putt he made on the last for par was awesome. I hope he goes on to win it.
