Nothing wrong with hating him, but it’s probably time to accept that this time the comeback is legit and if he keeps this up he’ll notch a win before too long. You can still hate him (of course), but surely you can’t hate the golf he is now playing...

Everyone has good weeks but there's plenty of players around him that can beat him. I mean the third alternate into the tournament has had the lead more or less from the beginning.

Let's just wait and see. He might be playing well this week but plenty of guys do that week in week out and don't win. I'm so sick of seeing his f@$kin resume every 5 minutes too.

I will agree though. The old Tiger looks like he's back, audible potty mouth and all.

    Haters gonna hate.

The irrational hatred is deep set and it doesn't matter what the player does.

The difference is, tiger is a legend of the game always will be.....and well, the other is an afternoon weekend hacker on some course in Australia who celebrates par lol

A new bandwagon catch phrase would be cool. Haters gonna hate went out with flares and tie dye.

I just think it’s amusing that us, as clear diehard golf fanatics, have had the privilege of watching one of the best golfers of all time in his prime over most of the last 20 years, yet so many people in golf seem to be deeply shitty about all things Tiger Woods. Each to their own, but I just find that hilarious and sad in equal measure.
Tiger may not win the Valspar, and he may never win again (which would be totally fine really) but how can you love golf and not respect what he’s achieved in the game?!?! Golf doesn’t need Tiger - nor any one other guy - but it sure as hell doesn’t hurt having Tiger back on Tour. Even a lot of the other pros like having him back.
Is it a bandwagon thing to hate on Tiger since all the shagging blondes stuff went down in 2009?!?! Did these dudes actually and honestly hate Tiger when he was winning everything?!?! Did they loathe him when he won The Masters in 2001 to briefly hold all four major titles at the same time? Each to their own, but that wouldn’t make any sense to me at all.

First you say there's nothing wrong with hating TW and then you're making an argument that there is something wrong with not liking TW? Make up your mind FJ.

Really enjoyed the end there, couldn't care less what Tiger haters say, that was awesome. Especially that 17th putt, pure magic.

Anyone notice you have to pay for the PGA Tour live app now? I use to watch it in the morning on FoxHD, then on the Fox app while heading into work, then listen on the Live app at work, but last night I checked the app and it wanted money so watched it at home, then hit work this morning.

What does everyone think about the coverage of golf on TV?

It has improved with shot tracer and everything but here are some things i would like to see:
    - the ability to choose the hole/group you want to watch
    - access to the players in between shots (obviously not too much)
    - get rid of those crappy moments when the camera focuses on the only the commentators and they discuss crap all for 5 minutes.
    - love the slo-mos, keep em coming.
    - love the green read tech showing the window of break.

Coverage has improved significantly, but yes, being able to focus of a different group to Tigers would be nice. I believe you can do that in the app.

Love the HD camerawork and picture on Foxtel.

And I refuse to watch Pebble Beach.

Lower camera angle behind the ball when putting. I like to see what the player is faced with.

No comments? With Tiger playing, I thought one or two Ozgolfers may have been watching.

Anyway, for those who missed it, a former number one golfer in the world, who looked unbeatable when he was number one, won. In style.

I was cheering for Henrik, and midway through the back nine I thought he was home. Only Bryson could catch him, and I don't like Bryson, so it had to be Henrik.

Great golf from Rory. Just brilliant. I was actually preparing a post saying that Henrik is great to watch when in top form and nearly unbeatable, but Rory is even better to watch when in top form.

I still don't like Bryson, but he played really well, and looked like he belonged with the big boys. I wish he wouldn't act like every putt should've gone in, though. I bet he helicopters his putter in practice rounds.

As for Eldrick, he's got his own thread, but two top fives in a row is pretty good. I'd say a few starters will be happy he didn't qualify for the matchplay next week (even though he was no match for O'Malley and O'Hern in years past).

I commented in the other thread. Magic stuff from Rory. Strange coincidence his previous win was when Arnie died.

Luckily they’re both playing the 2018 PGA Tour.
