Can't be arsed with golf at the moment. Just want to look at it.

    Tiger

Finished T1 in birdies with 21 but T36 and T45 in bogies and doubles with 8 and 1 respectfully.

Good to see Franco win the event considering he skipped his favourite Euro event to make some more FedEx points up.

He said earlier in the week the only reason he played the event was because of the win at Wentworth and he was light on with FedEx points moving to the back end of the season. Looks to have been a solid decision and he’s been in some super form so far this year. Not a bomber but a really REALLY good golfer. Probably sewn up an automatic Ryder Cup spot too.

Not having the emotional roller coaster of watching Italy in the World Cup has allowed him to focus on golf.

Funny no American asked him that question this week, I wonder if the SkySports crew afforded him the easy ride

2 weeks ago Francesco Molinari was ranked 15 in the world after his tied 25th in the U.S Open. He then destroys the field in the Quicken Loans on the PGA Tour and is then ranked 16 in the world! How hard is golf!

Everyone knows the golf rankings system is a bit strange, but nobody has ever come up with anything better.

Basically, Molinari has reached the heights where you rise up by beating players ranked higher than you. In ranking terms it was a very weak event, so not as many points were on offer.

It also didn't help him that one of the players he could have overtaken, Alex Noren, won a stronger event the same week.

In other ranking news, Adam Scott is now at 79. Even sadder, he isn't getting any results, so he might be in danger of dropping out of the 100 altogether shortly.

As to the event itself, Molinari (he needs a nickname, and he can't be The Italian Stallion) was awesome. One of the fantasy tipsters on ESPN was picking him almost every week based on his ball striking earlier in the year. I didn't think he was that good, but when he plays like that, he is.

For the next month, the PGA Tour is the secondary tour. In the leadup to The Open, most of the good players will be in the UK. The Irish and the Scottish are better events than the Greenbriar anyway.

I used to hate watching him but after 16 @ San Antonio a few years ago he changed his tune and changed his attitude around social media.

I love the guy. Makes millions and loves everything about it. He’s a surefire example of persistence.

That was a really inspiring win by Kevin, loved his emotion and his comments wrt being listed on all the (bad) record books. Seems like a genuine good guy. Nice win.
