For the second game in a row I started like a pig and finished half decent yesterday.
I really need to concentrate from the gun.

Par comp at Beaconhills today , had +4 ( +3/+1) but was actually 74 ots and 41 pts , the 74 is a pb for me at Beaconhills, although it was off the whites . No wipes only one 1 pointer, however, there is still room for improvement as I did have a 3 putt ( birdie putt from 3 mts) ,I bladed a chip that caused one of my bogies and i missed two short ( 2 to 3 mts) birdie putts plus a very short par putt . On the positive I did sink a some good putts and drove the ball well

Me and the brother in law played yesterday, he hit 100 which is 2 under his handicap and 2 games in a row he has done it. I had a bad front 9 hitting a 40 the back nine one the 18th i had a par put from about 10 feet....hard hole and the ball stopped right on the edge of the cup.....wouldnt fall....he then told me i shot a 38 on the back so that was cool.

First round of the year after 6weeks off working. Maryborough GC - 36pts. First time I have played to handicap since early September.
Nothing really terrible in the round except a cold top on 1, and a pulled drive on 18. Chipping was rusty, as was putting (34putts). No 3 putts though.
Had a bit of a change in the bag - Honma 727 2h/3h and ping ie1 irons both performed well, so was happy with that.
18/18 - 36
6/13 fir
6 GIR
34 putts

For the second game in a row, I am quoting Bushy's post and saying I did the same thing.
I had an honest 36 points, but a 15/21 split.
I hit the ball well on the first nine, but had a bunker disaster and some poor chips from easy positions. Then hit the ball poorly on the second nine and chipped and putted like a pro. One over for the nine, while hitting two GIR. It is a strange game.

Played 9 holes with my son around Beacon hills front today.I wasn't really taking much notice of my score as I was trying to help him mostly. He is almost 21 and has only played a handful of games,so would be good if he caught the bug, even just a little.Anyway I was just sitting at the dining room table looking at the stats.
6 of 7 fairways hit
7 greens in reg
19 putts( f... s...😣
39 off the stick

That's a great effort. If I could find my confidence with the putter, then I would like to think I could keep my putts per hole down to about 1.8

Best I have seen is 7 putts for 9 holes , He was just superb around the greens , had to be because of physical problems he couldn’t hit the ball far .I use a putter by powerbuilt , head is shaped like a D

Thats good going, He used to use one shaped like a d which i think was a snake eyes and the head length would be 6 inch's easy and id say his cure is about the same size.
