What a difference a day can make. Have been off the course for a few weeks due to injury, and after finishing work on Friday i figured I'd go out and play some golf. Had 34 points which i was really happy with for my comeback round, few birdies plus i wiped the first two holes i played. Think i shot mid to high 70's which was fine by me. Feeling good, booked in to play yesterday, had 8 points on the front 9 and 12 on the back. Couldn't hit a 50 foot wall from 10 foot i don't think. Absolutely awful haha. I've got 3 flags to drop in my next 3 rounds, could go from 3 to 6 very quickly if i keep that up!

That’s a quality voucher. Maybe I need to win a comp at your club.

Single Stableford yesterday with my Dad and a couple of his mates. My swing was off the boil a little bit, but still managed to score 32 pts. I don't really care though, it was just nice to play a round with my old man on his birthday.

Single stableford again today with Solarman & a few mates this morning. I was solid for the most part but soft bogies on the last 2 holes dropped me back to 34pts for the round.

36 points (a pair of 18s) at Richmond today, with 2 wipes on the back 9, a couple of birdies and some decent scrambling.

Had a nice chat with the new assistant pro afterwards about what the new team's planning for the pro shop after it changed hands last month...looks like a lot more demo and fitting days plus a wider range of gear in stock than previously.

Driver went off the radar today... From hook to duck hooks. Getting into trouble doesn't always end well.... Scored 25 points today off 16 handicap.

    Definitely need that lesson tomorrow.

I feel your pain oki , snap hooks have been my Achilles heel for 30 odd years , be interested to hear what advice your coach gives you .

He noted my swing was overly inside out with a strong right hand control.

He is suggesting I learn how to swing out to in to correct my problem. So far seem to have kept it in control when I played 9 holes after.

Sounds familiar, swing on plane , transfer your weight , turn your hips is what I get from my coach .Last lesson I had was swinging inside out trying to hit fades with my driver

Be careful with that advice, you’ll end up the opposite of where you are now. Hitting high weak cuts.

The pro did advise me this is the extreme way of battling my strong right hand from flipping over. This is to train my left hand to be more dominant. Once I have this in check it will be to work back to my correct swing plane.

I was also trying out a Ping G30 SFT driver. Regular standard ping shaft and midsize grip. With the swing out to in action... I managed to hit either a straight high shots or with a slight draw. The epic was still hooking with the same swing.
Not sure if the midsize grip helped so changed the epic grip to midsize too and experiment tomorrow.

Started really well, +1 for the front 9 for 20pts. The back 9 started equally well and I was sitting pretty at +2 after 14. I had an argument with a tree & a bunker on 15 and made double. Then I had an argument with a lake on 16 for another double. Then I 3-putted 17 and the damage was done. 15pts on the back for 35pts.

Thursday stableford at beacy , 40 pts , 20 each side , bogeys on both 9 and 18 were a bit wasteful. No snap hooks and no 3 putts so that was good .
Averaged 32.6 pts in November and 37.5 in December for my individual cards on golflink so pretty happy with my form
