I see Warner is continuing his run of good form.

Played well today in ridiculous circumstances.

I know it is hit and giggle, and means nothing in the wider scheme of things, but how do you successfully chase down 244, and do it with an over to spare?

The ground was a bit of a joke, way too small for real cricket, but I still can't believe we got those runs. Darcy Short will be a rich man if he plays IPL as well as he did today.

I'm also glad to see that Glenn Maxwell started training smarter after the rocket from Steve Smith and the selectors.

Indeed. If only he got such a score a bit earlier too. A specialist back up would have been nice.

Not the best start. Lots depending on Smith now and the two Marsh boys have a chance to show some real value. Fingers crossed.

My knowledge of batting records at South African Test venues is weak, and I'm too lazy to look it up. But I was most surprised to see that the average first innings score was 301. Which suggests Durban is usually quite a difficult ground to score runs on.

So our score is good. Their score isn't.

I was also quite surprised to see that both AB and Hashim Amla have dropped below 50 for their career averages. I was also a bit surprised that AB had 'only' 21 centuries. Maybe he only scores against us. I thought both of those guys were averaging much more.

All of that info suggests we only need to set them 300 or so, but there is no reason to declare and give them a chance. There is plenty of time left in this game. We are in a very good position.

    It should be good viewing.

3rd concussion of the summer? Maybe the bloke needs to figure out how to get out of the way of a bouncer.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Or give it away. If you can't get out of the way of a bouncer, you have no place in top level cricket.

It will be interesting what becomes of it. Certainly an ugly look. If he dishes it out Candice is obviously an easy target. I don't imagine Oldfield would have helped his mindset.

Warner was just jealous, as he knows Candice loves De Kock. Ask Sonny Bill, Braith Anasta, Matt Henjak, Brent Staker, Dave Carney etc etc

Give Warner a match suspension for being a peanut, and if he does it again, give him two.
