Warner is hard to like. He is a huge Kock and would be the player everyone disliked if he didn't play for Australia.

Warner would be in the thick of it, but smells a bit like a set up to me. How convenient that CCTV with no audio makes it the media. The Safas have been doing a lot of whining about sledging, but seem to be happy to cross the line when it suits them. The Safa commentators aren't much better, though the umps have given them a bit of amo. But they just go on and on and on about anything they don't like. A bit like Kevin Pietersen, oh wait......

A handy tip for office Xmas parties too.
Lucky Kohli is playing otherwise Warner would be my most disliked, its always a bit of a shifting line this whole aggression bit but he can never seem to get near it.
Guess we have all seen the problem before:

Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Good stuff! The do-gooders will be offended though.
More than the odd Aussie will be hoping Rabada has a spell on the sidelines.

The good news is that Rabada is having a 2 test holiday, and rightly so. Apparently they intend to appeal, but the only defence they could offer is that he is a peanut who can't help himself when he gets excited and takes a wicket.
The bad news is that our batting has made no progress at all. If Smith fails, we are in trouble. Right now, Mitch Marsh is our best batsman, and Tim Paine the second best. Nobody is dependable in the way Smith has been. Shaun Marsh and Khawaja are both one (more) bad test away from being dropped forever. If either of them were going well, Bancroft would be under the microscope. He is having an Ed Cowan career. Doing just enough to stay in, without playing the really good innings that earns himself credit points for the future.
Who knows what the Capetown pitch will be like (except it will be dry), but it won't be flat and easy to score runs on. If we can get AB De Vee out, that would help our chances. He is still a great player.

He's definitely underperforming and has a lot more to offer. His last 5 test scores are 171, 14, 6, 4 and 75. That's an average of over 50 tho he does have 3 failures in there. He's about 30 short of what Bancroft has accumulated in 12 digs. Marsh is 250 odd his last 5 digs as well. Marsh has got age against him too but i'm not sure that many are knocking down doors.

Apparently celebrating a wicket is worse than almost having a punchup on the stairs , I know what I think brings the game into disrepute more but Warner is a serial tosspot and maybe this will stop Rabada heading the same way
So, Radada got off.
In a way I agree with the decision, because in my mind it can't be seen as a deliberate act, and that is what the charge was based on.
But a dangerous precedent has now been set, where hulking fast bowlers may feel they can run very close to the batsman without penalty. In response, the batsman may now feel a need to stand his ground and defend himself with his bat. Then all hell will break loose.
I hate the send-off altogether, but I really hate the run close to the batsman and yell in his face style. They had a chance to nip this in the bud, and they didn't use it.
Hopefully the Aussies (and the Saffas) will turn the page and forget about this matter, but if we throw the toys out of the cot and play the victim by giving it to Rabada both barrels, it could get very ugly.

Won't someone think of the children.
He didn't really get off. He still copped a fine and demerit points. It just wasn't enough for him to miss a match.
