A short post SA Champs summary. There was very little worth going into detail about.

Thursday 1. Grange West. 25 points. Played better than that. Enjoyed the course so much I didn't care much about the score.
Thursday 2. Grange East. 30 points. Played better than that, but a few putting explosions.
Friday. Blackwood. About a point a hole in constant rain. Just awful, in every respect.
Saturday. Mt Osmond. 28 points. Played better than that. Two bad drives and a short game explosion at the last.
Sunday. Royal Adelaide. 30 points. Played better than that. Three short game explosions turned scores into wipes.
Monday. Kooyonga. 27 points. Mentally and physically cooked by this time. Finished wipe wipe, but the score was about right. Lots of bad stuff.

Played in a Legends Tour Pro-Am at Windsor today. Team Irish stab while the pros had their stroke round as well.

Our pro (Brad Burns...cracking bloke with a game to boot) shot -2 and came 3rd. Not sure how the team score was, but I hardly contributed to it. Couldn't sink a putt, hit plenty of skewed shots, a couple of shanks...but had fun nevertheless.

33 pts today at Beaconhills. Snap hooks returned for a few holes , corrected that then chipping skills left me , putting was ok no three putts , channelled my inner cricketer on 17 and hit my approach shot well over the fence .

Navy GC November round at Mirage Country Club this morning.

I was a bit wobbly through the first nine and turned with 15pts (2 wipes, 1 birdie). The game came so easy on the second 9. I reeled off a string of pars until I ended up in a footprint in a bunker on 13 (left par save on the lip). Back-to-back birdies on 15 &16, followed by a birdie lip out on the Index 1 17th & I was sitting at -1 off the stick and 21pts through 8. Of course, ol' custard-head re-appeared and I dunked my tee shot on 18 to finish with a wipe & 36 for the round. Even so, it was enough to win the day (on countback) and hopefully the Club Championship.

    Well done Courty.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Single stab at Beaconhills this morning , started bogey , par , birdie , 3 one putts . Standing on 4 th tee telling the others about some a'hole who had stolen my hat off my bag on thurs arvo whilst I put my card in ( a $7 , k mart , special mind u ) stepped up and snap hooked into the trees yet again and that's when the trouble started . Finished with 29 points , going for a lesson on Monday , clubs could very well be on eBay soon if I can't shake the snap hooks

Disappointing Grumpy. I was hoping the story ended with you noticing your hat on one of your playing partner's heads....

and THAT'S WHEN THE TROUBLE STARTED

****in thieving a'hole , but funny you say that lager , wasn't many social golfers or visitors around when it vanished so will be wondering about any member I see with same hat on at the club . Bloody annoying too , I have trouble finding hats that fit , caps are no good cause my face and ears still get burnt and as I said it was only a cheap k mart floppy hat but it was perfect for what I wanted .

Played in a Corporate golf day at Woodlands. Had a very sore back and extremely tight hammies the morning of.

Never been carried so much in a round of golf in my life. It was truely embarrassing.

Contributed very little as the low marker. Haven't played for about 5 weeks. It is no excuse, it was awful.

We shot 9 under of the stick and had a handicap of 8. Was nowhere near the winners.
