Par this morning at Beaconhills, very cautious almost nervous start after snap hooking everything on Tuesday . Was minus 2 after 3 holes finished minus two . Missed a few putts I had been sinking but chipped a few close instead of blading them as I have been so it all worked out . Score was +1, -3 . Round took 4.5 hrs starting at 7.30 am thanks to four young guys who just ambled along couldn't give a shite they finished four holes behind the group in front of them . Was living up to my name on last couple holes especially when I had minuses on them .

Sunday. Woke up tired, hungover, and with an incredibly sore back. Would have pulled out, but I am playing Murray Masters in a fortnight, and needed the practice after two weeks without golf, and to play 2 rounds in a week to drop a played to 3 off.

I should have stayed in bed. Haven't hit the ball worse in years. Minus 12 in a par event off my lowest ever mark - although, 11 of those would have been near enough tap in one pointers, but it was getting comical by the end of the round. Had every bad break I haven't had in weeks, found divots on fairways, and holes in the rough.

Here is hoping it was just 'that shocker of a day'...

    We should play matchplay soon.

I've just had 38 and 34 points off 15, which has blown me out to 16.

The joys of the new handicapping system.

Could always be worse Dotty. Martin McGuinness could be overseeing the handicapping.

I would have to give you 10 shots minimum 😳

Played Sunday comp at Yarrambat on the weekend. Stableford. Finished with a 17-21 - gross 82. 3x3putts and a 4putt on the front 9 due to having 0 clue on the speed of longer putts through the dewy greens. Chipping saved my ass on the back.

Need to play more aggressive on the approaches into the super slow greens, and get to the course early enough to lag putt a couple of times.

After Sunday's debacle, happy with 32 points this morning despite an awful finish and a couple of careless points thrown away.

40 points off 16 and not everyone in the wine bet was complimentary.

Doubly so, when the single figure golfers were reminded that a 16 marker beat them off the stick.
