Not sure as I haven't played there much after an altercation with long standing member/flogsock! Not worth teeing it up as it is a goat track!

They're doing some weird things at Virginia. Actually saw a few of their members at Nudgee two weeks ago and they're moving over for that exact reason. Also, Virginia have bought/leased the Big Easy driving range until it becomes development, which means they're going to have to pay people to staff it. Considering they're struggling for money that's a very odd choice, it's not like it's a thriving range, it's a dump.

Bringing in some ripper clientele with the soccer golf. The ground staff are probably wondering why the garden hoses keep getting shorter.

Haha yeah the more I hear about how it's going at the moment, the happier I am with my decision to move on.

Went back for a hit om Saturday and it is a total bog. No mowing so first cut was 6-9 inches high. Motorised carts were out in force cultivating what you could roughly describe as fairway.

Sounds like it's not getting any better then! I played Nudgee yesterday and it was in decent condition given the amount of rain. Some parts of the fairway have been affected by the water on course but overall played well. Haven't been able to mow everything because it's been soggy but it's fine.

Cheers. Saw a Fleay's barred frog there the other day. Looked pretty stressed, maybe from loss of habitat.

Played there yesterday in a Champs warm-down. After the scoring carnage of the previous few days it was nice to have a bit more space off the tee. I was impressed by the condition of the greens. It probably helps that I putted well, but they rolled really nicely at a nice pace (not slick but not slow).
