Default 2018 Vic Champs - March 8 to March 12

Looked at this years champs thread which started last July so thought I'd get the ball rolling for next years frivolities, anything organised as yet or do the organisers need a hand as I will be having a gap year and can assist

Basically put, between brothers weddings and club champs, this can't be held in Feb or March.

A few minutes of investigation has turned up this:
    https://www.stayz.com.au/accommodati...geelong/180531

And seeing as only VIC, TAS, ACT and SA celebrate the March long weekend, how would people feel about a March 8-12 VIC Champs on the Bellarine? Means we could play 13th Beach courses over the weekend, and they should still be in pretty good shape from the VIC Open a month prior.

    Something like a:
    Thursday warm-up: Curlewis / Queenscliff / Lonsdale
Uncivil War VI: Barwon Heads GC
Champs Rd 1: 13th Beach Creek
Champs Rd 2: 13th Beach Beach
    Wind-down: Portarlington / Torquay Sands / Torquay

Way too many links courses for my liking, but it's amazing what I'll tolerate for you people.

That accommodation looks perfect if people are cool with the bunks. I'm not sure what my availability looks like, but I'm pretty confident to say I'm in if the champs are in my back yard.

Happy to help with arrangements on the ground.

I'm only a maybe. Wife's 40th birthday is close to these dates and so I'll have to wait and see.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

GGF! I'm not as old as I look. I blame the kids.
