There's a difference between moving on and looking just plain ridiculous on the golf course. There have been plenty of shifts in golf fashion (Justin Thomas actually put it in reverse with the cardy and the tie) and most of them have been good, but Jason Day looked like he was headed for the basketball court, rather than the first tee at The Open and that's just silly.

A fella in the group in front of us on Wednesday had his pants tucked into his socks.

Thought he was going for a bike ride.

I cannot lower myself to cheer for Jason Day after his fashion crime yesterday. I was a hater when Fowler did it, and I think I always will be.

I liked Justin Thomas's look, but the challenge is to do it for all four days, and then lift the Claret Jug.

As with all Open's the big word is if. If the weather is kind. If players can avoid the bunkers. If players can find the fairways.

For mine, if the weather stays kind, the guys at worse than even par are out of it. Not because 6 shots is too much, but because there are 60 players par or better, and most of them are good players. Fortunately for my betting account, my horses are still a chance. Go Jordan!

Fair enough. They're supposed to look like basketball shoes. That's why they're cool. I'm wearing Nike Air Force 1s in the office right now. Would definitely wear them on course if they came in a golf version. Day looks better in that than John Daly (or I) look in Loudmouth pants. Still, each to their own I guess.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Keegan Bradley has worn this style for years. Only with normal pants. There was video of JD out in palm springs early in the year with similar shoes but in shorts.

I like them, all black and white might not have been the best but hey....He's getting $10mil a year to wear it, if he feels comfortable who cares?

JDay was wearing a nostalgic outfit.

Top half was 1985 Gary Player.

Bottom half was 1985 Oliva Newton-John, from the Physical music clip.

I was trying to find some similar fashion from the past. Drain Pipe Pants was probably the closest that came to mind, but they were mostly only worn by women!

Why don't a lot of the pros call fore! Just saw Dustin Johnson hit a wide shot and hit a guy square in the head. Sprayed it and just stood there and watched it! Disgraceful!

Yeah, agree with the commentators, not sure why he or his caddy didn't call fore? He just looks to be going through the motions. Doesn't look terribly interested.

Yeah that was shit, was a bit on golfwrx I think about professional courtesy to spectators by calling their shots, reason being that many don't call it so it hits soectators and saves them shots
