Besides Marc Leishman you have to go back to Paul Casey at T11 and 9 shots back.
Happy to have the discussion about who scored what and when but first things first Bushy. How did Kuchar go vs the top 20 in the last 5 holes? You've obviously looked at the leaderboard. I'm guessing he didn't do anything special.

Apart from anything, if what you're saying is that not many of them scored well on the back nine, OK. That still doesn't change the fact that Kuchar didn't do enough to win.

By the same token tho R the guys with a bit of fight in them weren't good enough to be in contention. You have to be in it to win it and i guess at the end of the day Spieth at least put himself into that position.

That's not in dispute, but talking down Spieths win because 'Kuchar didn't have enough fight' is one of the more silly things I've read.

You're a tuff critic Rich. So when Day and Scott lost the Masters to Schwartzel l guess they didn't have enough fight considering he finished with 4 straight?

    Agreed and Spieth knew it.

Why silly? Kuchar was his dream pairing. He would be for anyone with a bit of mongrel in them and there's no doubt Spieths got a bit of that! You don't think some players find winning harder up against certain players? Of course they do but Kuchar isn't that player for Spieth. Even when Spieth was 3 over through 4 he was still in the lead FFS! If Kuchar was really hungry for it, he would have been a couple in front at least by then.

In all honesty, my memory isn't that good. Too much JD! LOL! I don't really remember what Scott and Day did on the last couple of holes that year but correct me if I'm wrong, I think Day did have a couple of bogies coming in so I'd say yes, Day didn't provide much of a fight in that situation. When he's at his best now, he would but he was a totally different player 6 years ago.

All good players have good luck. I just think Spieth had more than his share in the last 6 holes at this years Open. In the last 5 holes he hit one spectacular shot. Since that's all it took (and a bloody healthy serving of luck), I'm not ready to say it was as good as everyone else is saying.

The kite surfer seemed to be enjoying it.

I didn't see much of him (and I don't really care), but on the evidence I saw, we can add Miguel Angel Martin to the list of putters testing the laws of the game.

Is this a trick question, Bushy?

At 24 I was perfectly on track to win 3 or more majors and spend my nighttime hours with fashion models.

I'm still aspiring to do that, and I expect the Qld champs will be the springboard to get me back on track.

I can't compete with that on course record or his bank balance, but at 24 I won more than I lost against my mates and my off course lifestyle was closer to DJs than Spieths. And unlike Speith I still had a great head of hair. So all things considered it wasn't too bad.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

At 24 I wasn't even playing golf, had heaps more hair than JS, drank heaps more booze, took heaps more drugs and potted a bloody heap more women than him I'd say.
I was probably just as happy too.

Highest amount of STDs per capita in Ballina, and the most affordable to get one.
