Has banning the anchor made a difference?
What are the thoughts out there? Since banning the anchor for putting has it made a difference? I can't help but notice guys like Webb Simpson, Keenan Bradley that have been very quiet ever since?

Substitute Scotty for Webb. As much as I can't stand the god botherer, Webb is actually having a decent year.
Scotty needs those giant holes they have at some courses.

Depends on what Tour, Langer and McCarron cheat with impunity on the Senior.

Actually, probably only needs a half inch wider.

Little bit of tin foil required there.
If they are doing it, why has no other player made an official complaint? Or why has no rules official penalised them?

I'm not one to dob someone in for something. Maybe they're the same being that Langer is the money maker ah la Tiger back in the day.

So what's McCarron done that gives him a free pass?

Stick him you stick them all. Like a lead balloon? The money will disappear once the money men realise you can't turn a $$ with the also-rans of the comp.

All 2 of them? That's a bit far fetched.
It's not the public aren't aware there is a percieved "issue" and the news won't be a bombshell.
If Langer dies tomorrow I doubt the Champion's tour will fold.

Why don't they penalise him then?

Because he is following the rules.

I can assume he has played 30+ tournaments since the anchor ban. If each tournament has 100 players and 20 rules officials, there has been at least 3600 people review his stroke. 7200+ if we factor in he plays at least 2 days.
They all think its fine, otherwise he would have been penalised by now.
If it is a big conspiracy, they must have to chuck a tonne of money at all the people he has beaten by 1 shot to silence them from making the claim and getting the win.

I'm not saying it's a conspiracy. I'm just saying they're really REALLY hesitant to penalise him. Much like slow play. Plenty of slow guys that go unpunished. Same with the so-called anchor ban.

So the officials are not willing to enforce a rule they are mandated to enforce? And the players he beats are more than happy to be beaten by a "cheater".
If it quacks like a conspiracy, it's generally a conspiracy.

If I related it to slow play it's exactly the same. There are rules there to enforce but they choose not to.

The last slow play penalty was at Augusta against a kid.

It's not the same at all.
Have you read the slow play rule? It's at the discretion of the commitee.
The anchoring of a putting stroke is not at their discretion. It is anchored, or it isn't.

That's my point. I think they are choosing to be discretionary when they are not in a position to do so.

I'm watching Euro tour right now and Richard Bland is up there with a putter about 40" long and a grip that I could use as a sock. BUT....He's not anchoring.
Kuchar anchors, Webb Simpson anchors still, Langer and anyone that uses a long putter like him is anchoring. No change except guys that have decided not to be the butt of jokes. No wonder Keegan is gawn, he is a mental midget AND an anchorer.
