She must have inspired his game with 65- 7 under for the first round. Massive gallery there for the first day too.
Didn't Ricky have a wire to wire win earlier this year. Wonder if he can do it again.

I'm quite pleased I pressed the record button last night. Another day of rain has meant I watched all 8 hours of the coverage.
As far as the coverage goes, most of it was quite good, and the Pro=tracer split screen by Fox is still the best innovation in years. It was a bit disjointed though in the switching between the Fox commentators and the other guys, and there was an occasional repeat shot. While it was good to see a lot of players rather than the usual three feature groups, sometimes it was hard to follow who was who and where they were on the course.
I thought someone may have observed that we have an answer to the Ewan Porter, where is he now? question. I'm not sure how he got the job, but he wasn't too bad.
But, overall I could take another 8 hours of this tomorrow, and I probably will.
I will be subtle in my comments on the course, by saying it was a good course to watch professionals at their peak (and sometimes in the depths). If I was a troll I could break the internet on the architecture websites. I might save that for a few days.
However, the course was set up fairly, and the scoring showed that. I hope they leave it the way it is, rather than speed the greens and tuck the pins. I suspect the pressure of the US Open will be enough to see a few collapses between now and the end. 10 under would be enough to win I reckon.
Rickie is definitely good enough to shoot that 10 under total, but so are quite a few of the chasers. The top 10 had a shocker, but there a number of top 30 guys not far away from the lead.
It should be a really good next three days.

Adam Scott playing like a God tee to green then putting worse than Happy Gilmore has to hurt.
What do you think of Rickys girlfriend Jim?

I'm not sure.
I may have to study the photo's in more detail. Regrettably, I already deleted yesterday's coverage, which may have had some different angles to help me make a judgement.
I will say though, that I can't see what she sees in him. He's not exactly Jason Dufner.

Can't make use of the Spider from the fescue.
Lol......that's pure gold!
Rory would be better to stay away from this stuff. He's just showing that Elkington got under his skin. I'd say Elkington would be laughing his head off.
