31 points at Gordonvale yesterday. Played most of the round in drizzly rain but that was still no excuse for missing as many greens as I did.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

No golf for me today, which was a blessing for my mate as he needed to borrow my golflink number.

The good news is you probably won't have to go back to collect a prize

36 pts yesterday, couldn't have scored much lower with how well I hit my irons
31 pts today, couldn't have scored much better with how I hit them today.

25 points on Saturday. Didn't feel the love. Hit the ball everywhere except the back of it.
36 on Sunday. Hit the ball pretty clean but had three stupid 3 jiggles.

    Stupid Game.

My first game for three weeks after a very rainy spell in my part of the world. The course is a bit soft, but in theory preferred lies through the green should have made it easier.

But my score, and the others in my group made good scores look impossible. My 29 points was the best in the group.

Unfortunately there were no preferred lies on the greens. My long putting was beyond woeful, so while I had a slightly respectable total of 34 putts, there were 6 3-putts in that. Anything outside 20 feet was either 6 feet short or 5 feet past.

Finally put together a decent round today. Played the Pacific Back Marker and finished with 34 points 15/19. Plenty of shots left on the course, but it is a tough track from the black markers so I am happy. Should see the cap go back to 12 or so.

Monthly medal, 75/73 had a bit of trouble in the frost, some greens were still frozen when we played.

Hungover, tired, stiff from sleeping on a stretcher, worst round of golf in a long time.

Good work joe , I had 93 at Warragul in my first game back and was happy with that so 83 is pretty good going

    Monthly Medal This weekend.

Saturday DQ. Another day of topping, blading and everything bad in general. Seems to be the norm for Saturdays at the moment.
Sunday 87/78. Not a great day but driving got better towards the end when I slowed it down a little. Irons still a little hit and miss.
