    Your clock seems confused.

    Was it 9 past 7 or 9 to 7?

It was so cold, my balls wouldn't drop until the 18th.

    FFS boys, harden up.

First group out on Saturday teed off in -4. I was lucky enough to be at netball at 8 in -2 so missed the good times.
Sunday - the fog lifted when the first group hit the 18th tee.

Us afternoon players had perfect 12 degrees both days

I was going to start my Wednesday golf report with a whinge about how cold the forecast was predicting, and how this predicted top of 18 was forcing me to wear long trousers for the first time this year.

I'll still whinge, but it turned out to be a great day weather-wise, with no breeze to create a wind-chill.

32 points was my final score, but I played better than that score suggests. I holed three putts of over 15 feet, but missed five of under 5 feet. Swings and roundabouts.

My real lowlight followed one of my best drives of the day. from the white tees of our 11th hole. The trouble was that we were playing from the blues, so two shots were burnt right there. I've only ever done that once before.

Top effort Jim! I have only done it once as well. About 2 weeks ago. Tee'd off from the whites on a 380m par 4, sprayed it OB right. Tee'd for 5 from the blues. Didn't manage to hole my "second" for a point.

Bit of an update - I haven't posted in a while.

Played in the midweek today and only managed 32 points in perfect conditions which ends a run of 7 straight flagged rounds. I've had a few C grade wins/places but finally last Saturday I won the comp overall with 42 points.

Today was also my 20th round of competition golf since joining in January. Handicap has fallen 3.0 shots (was 24.1 - now 21.1) but as seen above, it's only started to drop consistently in the last 7 weeks.

Last round of the quarterly medal on Saturday. Sitting 4th but also 4 off the pace playing Par. Hope to continue the Saturday form and impress again.

tl;dr: Bandit finally lives up to name. Gloats about it. The end.

Onya Feelzy. Are any of the Vic Champs auction toys still in the bag?

I was ahead of my time with the 'Best score = Feelzy' Calcutta bet.

Well done, and I trust that auction driver was the catalyst for these good results.

Cheeky 40 points. 3 bogies, a double, a birdie and the rest boring pars.

Can't say I hit it well (two cold topped tee shots in that), but kept finding fairways, kept finding greens, kept having 2 putts - or getting up and down when I didn't. Crucially I didn't miss anything inside 10 foot for the day.

Douglas Adams was right ... 42.

The age that you start golfing like a overweight 55 year old white guy.

39 points after starting birdie, birdie, birdie!
Could have birdied six of the first seven with the longest missed putt being 15 feet!
Finished runner up in A grade.

    38 today 18/20.

2 wipes and 3 x 3 jiggles cost dearly as today was for legacy.
Each grade winner from each club that competes goes to Glenelg later in the year to compete and have lunch with the Govenor.

    Missed out by a point.

Worse score in a longtime yesterday. 95/85. Did however execute 3 text book helicopters. All with varying degrees of club selection.

    17/20 for 37 points.

Seems like it's going to be the second day in a row that I score the winning card.
    Jasonb had a measly 41
