Monthly Medal at Cairns GC with Bushy & Solarman today... My up & downs weren't dropping today so I didn't make as many par saves as I would like, but otherwise I hit it ok apart from a triple & a double. 84/75.

That is until a missed 2 footer on 13 for bogey, followed by a water ball and triple on 14, another lipout bogey on 16 and 17 and finally a MASSIVE horseshoe bogey from 3 ft on 18.

In the end it was 2 shots, but I used a voucher for the lunch. Hopefully the handicapper does his job before next game.

I only had 33pts stableford equivalent, so no change to my 'cap.

You woulda thought winning lunch would have meant an automatic reduction in cap irrespective of points 😉

I wouldn't have picked your real name to be Trevor.

If you can convince Golf Australia to implement that rule, then I'll abide by it.

It evens out. I took a few feeds when I was playing an inflated cap. What do they say? Swings and Roundabouts?

Pennants again today. Won 5/3 thought I was going to get another flogging when he birdied the first 2 holes.

46/45 - 76, happy with that, having just checked my H/C record that was my first stroke round since April 2015! Good morning out there with Coalesce, Wazamac and Jasonb.

As Coalesce mentioned it was indeed bloody cold - outside temp in my car showed 1.5*

    Frosty:-

Makes me feel guilty when I was thinking about wearing longs and a jumper when it was 21*C.
