Default Micdeez Swing & Progress Tracker

    Gents,
Its about time that I monitor my progress as I aspire to improve my game.
My aim is to capture some range sessions after each lesson.
In between of course, I will use some takeaways from each lesson out onto the course (that's the hard part IMO).

    Range session after lesson 1.
    Handicap - GA 26.3
    Lesson 1 takeaways:
    1. Shoulders remain square to target
    2. Feet alignment square to target
    3. 9 o'clock swings to practise on correct swing path
    4. Hit 5 'good contact' balls per point 3, then 1 full swing. Repeat.

I struggle a lot with strike consistency, but I think above isn't too overwhelming to start a good platform.

    Of course, feedback is welcome!

Cheers bud, but yeah sums it up. Got to learn so much more like course management.
Indeed, putting is terrible, usually 3 putts but sometimes 2 if chipping is on point. Should start counting so I can track and monitor putter strokes for each round.

If have chance, do a lesson with aimpoint golf (or anyone that is willing to teach you how to do it).

I haven't been able to play regularly so my swing is all over the place. But the aimpoint (requires almost no practice) has helped me to 2 putts everything long and short.

haha, I hit it all over the shop, but usually far enough to only have a wedge or short iron in.

    Date: March 31, 2017.
    Range session after lesson 2.
    Handicap - GA 26.3
    7 iron (i200)

    Lesson 2 takeaways:
    1. Shorten backswing
    2. On downswing, lower hands/club then;
    3. Rotate lower body at impact to help clear the follow through

I do feel like since I've started to shorten the swing, and as per point 2, its reducing my "over the top" tendencies at times.
Definitely a little happier since I didn't shank it once tonight (ball direction still off at times), but club impact has improved a bit.
My coach is really good, really dumbing it down and giving me realistic takeaways. See how this goes at tomorrow's round.

Thanks but that's what my coach says too, but I can't keep a consistent swing right now. Plus I still can't break 100.

Won't be far off, work on chipping and putting you will pick up a fair few shots.

I agree with Dave /\. You compress the ball very well for a high marker, a lot better than i do, and I'm off 8.

Get some confidence chipping and putting, and the handicapper will come looking for you.

That's pretty much on the mark. I just can't score consistently well. One par 5 I par'd it with a driver and fairway, chip and a two putt, then next hole I wiped it due to a driver slice off the deck and layup into a nearby hazard.

I'll post up a video soon of a drive that sliced. Maybe you guys can see if there is anything wrong. This is my downfall for penalties, slice into the trees and I crumble...

One change since is I've shortened my backswing and I'm getting less shanks which is encouraging.
