85 net 73 (par 70) in the rescheduled February Monthly Cup at Gordonvale this morning. Played fairly steady golf but a triple and double on the back nine killed off what could have been an alright score.

Course was in surprisingly good condition given the amount of wet weather about recently.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Does the warning not cover you up there?

Not any more, we're now in the "watch" zone. Ayr to Mackay is the current warning zone.

Rickie Prowler and I teamed up in a 4BBB today - 44 points was good enough for 3rd.

Rickies mix of 4 pointers and wipes worked out well for most of the day - except when I ballsed up twice.

It took him a few holes to get on the card - my 33 points was solid, our two 1 pointers just stopped us taking 2nd.

Well done Loz. Sounds like you left a few out there. 😁

2.....that's all.Greens where heavily cored recently so bumpy and I was so fixated on line that I forgot about pace. I'm not complaining, big turnaround last 2 games from my deplorable 20pts last wed.

31 @ Dunheved yesterday. Bit hit and miss all over the place, really, although I hoped a few decent putts on week and a half old cored/sanded greens.
