Benno hitting a far better tee shot on 13 @ Settlers Run than I managed. Hint: Think Solarman's opening work at Waterford Valley...

I think the Dotty V Monsta match was on the cusp of ending when I snapped this pic on the 13th at Commonwealth.

Great snaps. Wish I had the phone out at certain points over the weekend. Especially at Settlers.

I didn't get the camera/ phone out anywhere near as much as previous years, but here's a couple that were worth doing so for...

Solarman with the 1st shot of the 2017 VIC Champs on the 1st hole at Club Mandalay (unofficially anyway)... the result: lost ball (yes, it was THAT driver)

Lefty on the 6th at Club Mandalay

Someone's ball at Club Mandalay (Lefty or Oldracers... can't recall)

Nice souvenir from Commonwealth GC... straight to the pool room

Commonwealth GC (L-R: practice green, 18th hole & 1st hole)

Dinner at the Squishy Happy Phoenix

Ghey gelato... not that there's anything wrong with that

Beside the 12th green at Settlers Run GC

Ball in the hole at Mandalay was Lefty's, straight after the ball in the slop shot 😩

Lefty from the piss is gold! Especially with Courty laughing at the end. Nice to know he's mortal like the rest of us.

Mandalay looks nice from the first tee - worth a look?
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

I have walked a couple of holes, and my first answer is yes, but it gets windy as hell out there. Play early if you have to.

The best part is, if you look into the distance in the middle of the fairway, you can see my provisional ball laughing at me also.

    Right here:
    Lefty in the piss.jpg

Semi-decent track and well worth a look, even if only once. I reckon an early Autumn, early morning visit would be the go for this place.
