    Default Mike Malaska

I stumbled upon this blokes Youtube channel recently and I have been trying out his method with some success. His ideas on directing the momentum of the clubhead make a lot of sense the way he explains it. Flushing it on the range and hitting some nice ones on the course but not quite there yet, check him out.

I've watched a couple of these today based on this thread and he is very easy to understand. For me anyway.

I'll be watching more tonight and taking some of it to the range.

    Thanks for the suggestion Gaz

More of a feel i reckon, his swing is pretty much on plane throughout and certainly not vertical at the points he mentions. It looks like a pretty orthodox good swing. He has a decent following tho and must be doing something right.

I'll watch the whole thing next time. I wonder what he recommends for someone already too steep. Hopefully that wasn't in there LOL

Great work Gaz, definitely reconfirmed a few things about the golf swing for me. Thanks.

Gee, he separates his right arm a LOT. Pretty much the opposite of most good golf swings.

Elkington suggests 1 for connection on way up, and 3 on way down. This fella is zero. Good cutters swing.

Haha, yeah true. Sometimes I do wonder if they would be helpful for me. I'll get around to buying some one day.

Good range session on the weekend, struggling to hit the driver using the Malaska method tho. Everything else working well.

Good video lesson on chipping! After looking at that look at Jason Day chipping at Augusta (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=epAyBMdOW5U) to see the dead wrist technique!

Just came across this thread while searching for something else. This is the same guy that M3J just posted about in his putting and aim thread.
