Pro V1x second hand from Blakey or EBay. Never had any issues with the quality (particularly at my chopper standard) and at less than $1 a ball its hard to get too upset if I donate a few during a round.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Finishing off the last of some older model Srixon Z-Star XVs I got in bulk and not sure what I'll go to next. Have experimented with TM Tour Preferred and various Bridgestone models. Will probably be determined by whatever is going cheap at Drummond / Golf World / Online.
Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.
Chrome Soft at the moment, B330 RXS before that.
Gees, Bill, you must be having a bad run if you are going through 8 balls a round. It's just as well you are finding a few.
I'm working through the good quality balls I find in our one patch of jungle. I used a Callaway Supersoft on Wednesday and a Srixon ZStarXV today. I couldn't tell the difference. They both spun quite nicely on chip shots. But our greens are quite slow and grainy at the moment, so most golf balls seem to behave in a similar manner for me.
If asked to choose a ball to use exclusively, I'd probably choose the ZStar.
"There are 50 things to remember in the golf swing. Trouble is that I can only remember 49 of them" - Bob Hope.

Chrome Soft and B330s at the moment. Looking forward to new TM ball releasing.
Titleist ProV1x 2013 model
All depends what your term of cheap is.It is all relative to what other balls cost, and I think the Mp-s is about $70 a box retail.

Used the srixon b330 today but it kept going into the trees and eventually stayed up one so can't say I was happy with it
Whichever premo ball is the cheapest when I'm buying, but usually Taylormade.

Mix of Chrome softs, Pro V1 and Pro V1x. It may be chance but I've noticed the occasional freaky long tee shot ( for me) always seems to be with the Pro V1x ...Now they tell me the 2017 models balls are different and the opposite Titleist ball may suit better. I think score wise it doesn't matter which one I use though.
What's the ho with the Chrome soft boys, good ball, spinny, durable etc?
