Default The Uncivil War V - Commonwealth Golf Club

This is it - arguably the premier event on the Ozgolf Calendar.

The Uncivil War returns to the Sandbelt. Can the Union northerners defeat the reigning champion Confederates?

    2013 - Southern GC - Confederate win
2014 - Royal Melbourne West - Confederate win
    2015 - Victoria GC - Union win
    2016 - Metropolitan GC - Confederate win

At this stage, we have 19 for the Uncivil War, so we may be looking for additional entrants.

If you are interested, please express your interest ASAP - its a cracking day, and a great opportunity to play a Tier 1 Melbourne Sandbelt course.

    Let the sledging begin.

I was checking out CGC website the other day. It looks friggin magic.
Might be worth dropping a few clubs from the long end of the bag and adding a variety of sand wedges... It's half beach out there.

At this stage we need one more Unionist to have even numbers (assuming Lucas can't make it which sounds EXTREMELY likely).

Are short hitting old blokes allowed on sandbelt courses?

If yes, then count me in.

And now, we have a few very important things to do. Name captains, select teams, and get shirt sizes to ME ASAP.

It is my great pleasure to announce the Captain of the Confederates 2017.

This man has represented the Confederates with great pride. He is a moderator, he is Victorian, he is a great man. He is Larry Long.

As outgoing captain of the mighty North, I congratulate the South on appointing a captain who epitomises the term "Army Golf".

Up north though, we roll through the Confeds like an unstoppable armoured division, led ably by our own Frank the Tank - Sundayhack.

Up Up Union, Up Up Sundayhack!!

Thankyou Captain Benno for bestowing me this great honour in the absence of what would have been the Champ's (Lucastro) team. I hope to lead our great North to victory in both of your absences. Up Up Union!!

Well played, but he's the reigning NAGA. Do you really even NEED to specify the day?
