Default Vic Champs - Thursday Warm Up - Sunshine GC from 3pm

    Thursday 9 February
    Sunshine Golf Club
2 tee start from 3.00 pm
    $35.00 Green Fee + $10.00 Prize Fee
    No Carts (pull buggies available)
    No Catering available

    Course Tour

Tees to be determined on the day:
    Men - White
    Ladies - Red

I'm the designated daily organiser for this day so any questions regarding this round can be directed to me (In other words Leave Lefty alone).
As its the warm up Thursday, last year we played an individual event, as well as Spongeball.

In 2017, I am looking at playing another team event - groups will be a random draw closer to the event. I am thinking we play either an Irish Stableford, or a random partner draw 4BBB.

Vote for your preference in the thread below. First option to 5 votes wins.

Put me down for this one as well thanks Benno. My flights down will now allow for me to be there on time. I will vote for the Irish.

I was a big fan of the spongeball for a little bit of fun (until Monsta smashed our ball two postcodes to the left of the out of bounds fence), but anything that allows you to play a normal round is fine by me.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

I reckon the Irish Stableford would work pretty well.

I'm assuming that if we play an Irish stableford everyone will still play their normal round etc and add up the Irish part at the end? Otherwise we couldnt do 5 day ironman.

Of course Lefty - standard individual event, plus an Irish.

Irish - team of 4, best 1 scores for first 6, 2 best for 5, 3 best for 4, then all scores for last three holes.

    Team total wins.

Or you can be mean and take the worst per group per hole, similar breakdown, and again highest points wins. Keeps everyone in every hole

OK - looks like we have a slight variation.

We have 2 events running on the day.

    1) Individual stableford
    2) Irish 3-ball. Due to having 18 players, we are going to go in groups of 3. For your group of 3, your team score will be the best in the Team on holes 1-6, the 2 best on 7-12 and all of them on 13-18.
The fun bit is - it doesn't matter which tee you are off.... the scoring stays the same.

Courty will post groups soon - we've split them up into Lowest 6 handicappers, middle 6 and highest 6 in a random World Cup style draw. Good luck!
