Good luck today, this weather is SHIT. Hardly seen this sort of crap weather all year, disappointing. Hopefully picks up for the weekend.

It won't really feel like an SA Champs until we get a page and a half on white socks

Not really. More like Kitchener buns.

Light rain and 15 degrees at Blackwood. Not looking good.
It is dry in the club though.

Quick notes re RAGC on Sunday.

Kitchen will be open prior to our tee times, suggest order no later than 11.15. Pretty sure it'll be shut by the time we finish however.
Range balls are free, large ball bin under copse of trees adjacent to the range.
    Dress regs on Club website.
Club Competition open to those with a golflink, register and pay ($6 I think) in proshop, not compulsory however.
No need to sign in etc as I'll have done that prior, I should be there by about 11.
Gather on verandah/putting green about 11.50 for groups allocation.

This must be how Cathy Freeman felt heading to Homebush that night carrying the hopes of a nation.

I will break the Friday ice, not quite literally, but not too far off.
The one word summary is miserable.
It was cold, rainy all day and those who pulled the plug looked wiser as the rain got heavier.
Slug played the best and Hatchman hit enough good ones to hopefully encourage him back into golf.
Thanks to Waza for most of the organising and Hatchman for the ultimate participation reward of Kitchener Buns in the car park after our 15 hole round.
Maybe the rain has gone away so we can show some enthusiasm for the next few days of golf.

Last year's Kitchener Cup was also cut short by that lightning storm directly over us at The Vines also after 15 holes .... enjoy the next few rounds

Had forgotten about that! First time ever I'd heard the siren had to vacate the course.

Was third choice due to other chosen courses deciding to do 'course maintenance' - as in green coring.

Was running out of places not used in previous years, available on a Saturday, whilst also trying to cut down on the travel distances.

Thought it was fine, very strategic, quite tight, funky holes, very penal on great drives as someone recounted, yep in the same breath as Cape Skank
