How often do you play? Try for once a week but doesn't always happen.

    Current handicap: 13.3

    Lowest ever handicap: 10.1

    Dream handicap: 18

How long have you played golf? 14 years

How did you catch the golfing bug? My grandparents, dad and older brothers all played. When I started dating Pete we took it up together by joining my Dads social golf club. Started out playing once a month and got hooked. The rest is history.

Favourite golf course played? Barnbougle Dunes is stull my most favourite place in Australia. It has some kind of magic about it.

If you could pick three others, dead or alive, to play a round with, who would they be? My Dad and two older brothers. Nothing beats family.

If you could pick three OZgolfers to play a round with, who would they be? Always enjoy an Ozgolf round. Would pick peter_rs, nudgee and Perci.

Favourite golf moment/memory? Turning up at the crack of dawn to play a social round of golf with my Nan and Pop at Middle Ridge in Toowoomba. We would always tee off in the dark and have to guess where the ball went. Wouldn't take any of those rounds back.

Worst/least favourite golf moment/memory? Second round of club champs at a place I won't mention and my 'marker' had marked my card one row out which resulted in being DQd. I was leading net by a good margin at the time...,,

Favourite current Tour player: Darren Clarke

Favourite golfer past or present? Greg Norman

Lastly, talk us through your Monthly Mug winning round?

Nudgee had been battered with heaps of rain during the week and I wasn't down to play. A golf mate sent me a message to ask if I wanted to play Pacific in the arvo comp. Said yep. While waiting in the bar we saw the early scores start coming in and 24 points was the leading lady score. Said we had something to chase.
Played the back nine first for 24 points. Struggled a bit on the front nine for 19 points with a wipe on 9. Didn't get off the tee that great but hit some beautiful iron shots. My first missed green was the 1st (my 10th).

How often do you play? Every Wednesday morning and once (sometimes twice) on the weekend. Occasional midweek game as well.

    Current handicap: 11.0

Talk us through your NAGA round, what went wrong?
I often channel famous golfers. That day, it was Grunt.

Played Magenta Shores with the boys with numbers in their names (Matt3Jab, Jazz18 and Vader77), started the usual way and got asked the usual questions 'I suppose that is another 2 pointer?' and 'Don't you get bored with hitting the fairways?'.

The par 3 6th was just under 110m, swung the 8i and felt a twinge in the left ribs, for the first time in 33 years of golf. HTFU'ed and scored single pointers on the next few holes. Tee shot on the 9th brought a thought of 'That's not getting better', then trying to bunt a hybrid for the next was like a knife in the ribs.

I threw in the towel, but stayed with the lads for the company and banter. When putting M3J's card into the computer, I thought 'why not?', so put mine in also and headed off for a night of Dr Google before seeing a real doc the next morning. Scared the doc, when I said pain in the chest halfway through a golf game. (Should have said ribs, but by chest, I meant area between neck and waist, and he can do the diagnosis.) Torn oblique muscle.

Moral of the story ... Don't use irons on par 3's.

ps. Commiserations Simmsy and Monsta. Just remember, you two are only amateurs, when it comes to being a broken and twisted old man.

    Exactly.

Ouch with the DQ for someone stuffing your card up.
