It was a pleasure to watch his game when it was essential to keep the ball in play but not easy to do given the difficulty of the course off the short stuff combined with strong winds.

A very worthy Champion, well done Marcel.

Congrats Marcel! You can tell the course to cut the rough now.

Probably want to keep the rough for the ladies early next year.

Looking forward to seeing how the ladies handle chiseling the ball out of the rough with a wedge - takes a lot of strength when the ball is buried

    Ps: Fine Form Marcel!

Thanks everyone for making the Champs a fun few days.

Surely a winning score of 59 will have people coming from far and wide next year, who knew winning the coveted Red jacket could be so easy.

Nadg, I think it was 20+ years of golf at NSWGC that developed my 'wind game', but Scotland helps.

As for the rough, the sooner it dies off completely the happier I'll be. I expect by February and The Women's Open is will be far more user friendly
