I picked Woodland and after his first round and half way through his 2nd, I thought he wasn't a hope in hell of even making the cut! Now equal T4!!
Those who claim they enjoy seeing top pro golfers struggle would have loved the last hour today. A par was a rarity on the last two holes when the wind really got up.
For me, it wasn't just boring, it was painfully slow and boring, with the players backing off many times before pulling the trigger, and then taking forever to line up their putts in the wind. Apparently, the round stretched to almost 6 hours for the last groups.
It was also an indication of what is wrong with modern TPC style golf courses. When the wind gets up the players cannot play low running shots because of all the water and mounding and swales, so they just struggle totally.
One other oddity occurred today and last night that I always take interest in. Tyrrell Hatton allegedly did something to his putter on 17, so he putted 18 with his sand wedge, and holed a 25 footer! He didn't even smile, the miserable sad sack.
Then today Kevin Chappell threw his putter in the water on 16, and had to putt with his sandie on the last two greens. He didn't hole his putt when the camera was on him.

Not quite pga but
Go Wade Ormsby!
For all the poor souls out there that don't want to talk about the big cat, let's open discussion on my other pick to win this weekend.
How good did Tommy Fleetwood look? Flies under the radar, did well to take the race to Dubai.
I've always liked Tommy's game. Can get a little jittery towards an end of a tight game or playoff, but hits a good ball.
Disappeared for a while in 2016 but came back great in 2017.
Haven't got payed TV any more so can't watch him. is he still playing Nike?
Once you go yellow, you will never go back
I'll bump this one for you Benno.
To some extent it has never been more depressing to contemplate the gap between the top pro golfers and the rest. Royal Pines and this course would be seriously difficult, bordering on impossible for us, but the top guys are tearing them apart. The wind is blowing, too, so it isn't even perfect scoring conditions.
There was so much good play today that good players playing well weren't getting any TV time.
