I've gone soft, only 50% is going on Hartnell, the other half is covering my buying spree over the past week or two!

I think he's Godolphin's best chance ever. Winx gave him windburn in the Cox but she's the best middle distance horse in the world by a long way and Hartnell comprehensively beat the rest of the best WFA'ers in the country with a tough run, a course that doesn't suit and over a distance that was a warm up. The MC was the goal all along, he hasn't been given a hitout under race conditions over a staying distance but O'Shea knows what he's doing. If there's a genuine pace set (unlike last year) he will get going at about the 800 and just grind home over the top of them.

Unbelievable round by Pampling. So close to shooting a 59. Couple of cheeky eagles in there. Would love to see him win again in the US.

He certainly hasn't been heard from much in ages. Such a great result.

So, are we now going to get an avalanche of posts from Queenslanders claiming they taught him everything he knows?

Geoff Ogilvy and Cameron Smith in the top 10 as well. A big tourney for us.

always been able to go low.

I think he shot 61 in the final round of the Oz Open last year at the Oz (but was well back after 54 holes)

Was also pretty cool to see Marty Jertson put in a respectable showing, as someone said on GolfWRX it must be pretty cool to play in a PGA Tour event with clubs that you designed!

Good on the ol' flusher. Always fun watching him when he comes back for a hit in the summer.
