Tiger's replacement in the Safeway Open, Max Homa shot 8 over (80) in the 1st Rd.
Question is, would Tiger have beaten that score with his "sub standard short game"?

I'm on the blue blood today @ Not bad odds, Hendy with a top 10 will boost boost Winx winning.
If you tune in late, you aren't going to believe the score when you see it.
Lahiri had a 9 on the par 5 3rd, and Thomas a 4 on the same hole. A 5 shot swing!

It's a little crowded at the top. Wide open
ThAnks for the double fireman. !
Lahiri is finding impressive ways to lose at the moment
gonna put some sneaky money on Casey this week.
A worthy bet. He's due in a big way.
Needs to find a way to finish the job. Playing well enough
I had a few bucks on Matsuyama, if that guy ever develops a short game everyone is going to be playing for 2nd.
Keep going Hideki, if you win I'll lump it all on Hartnell in the Cup!
Could be a good bet, CB.
The coverage has been strange the last two days, from what I have seen. I understand the concept of feature groups, but we haven't seen one shot from a golfer in fourth place at 8 under, and therefore in contention.
I speak of course of the golfer with the most appropriate name in golf, Richard Bland. I reckon hardly anybody would recognise him if he walked into our golf clubs.
I was also going to have a bit of a rant about the minnows in the field who have no chance of winning (like Richard Bland). Then I saw the full field scores, and both Jordan Zunic and Matt Millar are ahead of Adam Scott, Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed.

I wouldn't regard Bland as a minnow. Just not well known to those who don't watch the Euro tour on a regular basis.
He's one of the form players at the moment. Great ball striker, due for a win truth be told.

Adam Scott blew himself up with an 80 yesterday. Haven't seen a score like that from him in awhile.
