Pretty rough at there at the moment, hopefully improves over summer.

A bit bummed reading this thread. Has Penrith really dropped off in condition? I used to play there regularly in the Wed open comp ~1995-2003 and thought it shat on Dunheved and Glenmore Park back then. Greens were always pretty good and fairways too. Am going up in a few weeks with some mates to play Twin Creeks and it on a mini boys trip. I have talked the joint up. Is it embarrassing enough to cancel???

I played Cumberland last night, I'd be very surprised if Penrith was in good nick after all the rain we've had in the last fortnight?

Haha. Thanks Lemo. I used to play Cumberland regularly too. I always thought Penrith was a better track. I was a member of Cabra back then. I liked all three for different reasons. I reckon the Riff was the more "championship" in grass types, conditioning and layout back then. Cabra had the best holes and Cumberland thought they were Castle Hill 😆.

You're just jealous that, after four weeks of Sydney rain, Penrith will have more lakes than The Lakes.

Recently I think 17 NRL players from the Dragons played Penrith. They thought it was a little too easy

New greenkeeper now , doing great work . Course survived the heat and rain really well , fairways are excellent , a few greens are a bit patchy but they will come good
