    Well done.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

No, I’m getting my coaching from Brad Hughes these days.

The biggest multiplier I reckon is the SkyTrak and because I’m such a ‘golf-sicko’ I’m hitting balls everyday.

Other than 'hitting balls' how are you structuring practice with the SkyTrak? I have one but am not getting the best out of it or me!

It all depends, no set program however I do practice a certain way. I don’t hit a lot of drivers or 3 woods currently on it, mainly wedges and short irons. I’m finding I’ll hit balls every day of some sort. Mostly random practice.

    - Skills Assessment: I’ll run this once or twice a week, I’ve got a preset that kind of mirrors the Skytrak Short option. Distances from 35m up to 160m. 10 different targets with 5 balls each just to see how I’m going.

    - Practice: Generally I set it to Medium/Hard greens as targets (I like level 7 green -18x9m) on randomiser between 20m and 140m. From there it just randomly picks a distance and away we go. I also do this for 10-60m, 140-180m.

I’ve got a demo version of E6 too so I play Aviara GC every now and then. However I much prefer practice rather than playing simulator golf. I do enjoy playing the par 3’s on E6.

I’ve taken it to the range a few times and hit range balls. The spin numbers are a bit off but the distances and ball flight are spot on.

I’ll also hit pitches from my putting green across the yard (~30m). The randomiser is awesome for this. Set up targets every 5m from 10-30m and try fly it to the number.

I am always concerned that just focusing on skills assessments etc that I am going to reinforce bad habits. But, given how my game is going I guess it is worth a shot!

After another played to 3.x I’m at a NEW lowest.

    4.0

All flags are either 3’s or 4’s. If only I could putt.

Those are some very consistent flags. Usually you'd see an outlier that is a bit lower.

That will be in there today

Have a 3.7 dropping off and I replaced it with a 73(+1), depending on the DSR (or whatever they call it now) I’ll be in the 3’s

I feel like I'm not playing very well at the moment, but a new flag yesterday dropped me to a new low of 6.1. Have a low flag dropping off tomorrow though so likely to go back up a bit.
