Different people obtain their cap in different ways, I guess.

Super low rounds aren't my thing, but I rarely blow out either. 2 rounds in the 20's this year, a 26 out of nowhere in the first round of the CoC, and a 28 where I only needed to regulation 2-putt the last for 30, and 4-jacked it.

25 rounds under 30 point in 5 years (164 rounds).

So I know when I step on the first tee I have an 84.75% chance of having 30 or better points.

    Jesus! That's good.

6 of my last 20 are in the 20's.

1 in my last 20 is 36 exactly

1 has been higher than 36

8 of my last 20 are in the 20s. Three above 36, two 38s and a 40. I'm finding some form again so maybe the ratio of 20s rounds will drop

I've had one round of 36 points in that time.

So aside from the two under 30, the rest have been 30's to 35's.

Thanks mate 😁Yeah about 2 years ago, doesn't feel that long though lol. It dropped 9 shots in 22, and a bit over 3 last year. The goal this year is to get it to 5, but I'd be happy with 6.

That's super work and I would say a realistic goal, good luck.

Thanks guys 😁 I'm happy to have come out the other side of my form slump the last couple of months. I've been working on hitting straighter drives, and I've developed a reasonably consistent shape with my irons (that just sort of happened by itself) which has helped my approaches be more accurate. Really enjoying my golf at the moment

    As is no practice.

I think chumpness is practice agnostic.

The daily difficulty of our course yesterday, with the blustery winds, was enough for me to drop down to my low of 5.8.

I did get to 5.8 before but that was the previous system. If that system was still used, I'd be off 5.4.

I think it can keep getting lower as I'm in good form, and my own calculated handicap which includes social rounds is currently 4.9.

A solid round yesterday has seen me drop to a handicap index of 7.7 - the lowest handicap I have had. I do have a low score flag dropping off next round, so I doubt I'll stay this low for long.

Hit my lowest yesterday 11.0. Only need to drop 2 more to be a single figure golfer.

Bad news next round I have a 8.7 flag dropping off so I better have a good one

7.6 today. I wonder if I can get it below 7 before I go back to work in 3 weeks.

New low for me too with 5.7. The handicap can't really go out for the next six rounds either, so hopefully I'm back in here. I haven't set my 2024 goals yet because I'm riding out this little form patch first, although maybe it's not a patch.

    Well done, Andy.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.
