Only if you play a course with a slope rating of 108 or less.

Thanks gents, I'll enjoy the number on the screen starting with a 9 while I can.

From what I understand the system gets changed again come the end of January (might be Feb).

After my best ever round on Saturday I've dropped another 0.6 to 9.3. Having started the year on 11.9 I'm genuinely surprised to get this low.

The big change is that it took me all year to realise that if the full swing is not happening then 3/4 shots around the course will help the scoring to no end. That combined with a functional short game is to thank.

    Top stuff, Chris.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Kicked off 2020 by getting to my lowest HC yet ... 7.9, hopefully I can keep it there. Will be daunting playing off a daily of 9 at most courses ... Oh dear.
