Just wanted to discuss formation of a said tractor society for ozgolf, in light of certain people giving up free lunch for flags. Just saying, thanks tomsy.

Guess there's always gonna be peeps trying to bring other peeps down. Really sad, disappointing aspect of human nature in some people.

    They probably got tractor envy.

I was only a kid when my cousin's family owned the old 'snoopy' International 3358 - but at least I did get to ride in it.

If any of my relations still in cane farming get one of these bad boys I'll definitely be hitting them up to have a drive.

Has this got something to do with Sci's attempt to level out the greens via a soft broom?

My mate that had the Steiger Panther had a Steiger/Case Quad Track like that many years later (possible the 1st generation of them). Went for a ride in it but never drove that one. They only used it for two years and got rid of it as it kept throwing the traks off in the sandy mallee country. Traded that for the latest model Steiger Case with tyres that had just been released and had engine power problems right from the start. In order to get the crop in he rigged an old early generation International 4WD up in tandem with the new one to get the power needed to pull their wideline and air seeder to get the job done. Local Case techs sent info and pics back to the USA on what he'd done as all software updates couldn't fix the power issue. He was waiting for techs to come out from the USA to fix the problem and they wanted to see the tandem tractor setup. Wish I had got pics of it but this was just as the digital cameras were starting to come out.

So your course allows you to take your buggy across the green?

Track tractors do less damage so you should be using one of these.
