Avoiding soft-cap for the time being, but after losing a flag today my handicap is the highest it's been since September. You wouldn't know looking at this graph. I've been consistent but haven't gone low, and had a few low flags come off (I was down at 2 in November, rounds 18 & 19 here).

19 points on the front, 13 points on the back, flag comes off.
3 more flags to fall in the next 3 rounds, 6 flags in total in the next 9 rounds. I'll be soft capped (at least) in no time if I don't turn things around.
Funny, I don't feel like I'm playing that badly, I'm just not playing well. Short game & putting is letting me down.

Dont worry about it Bob, when that happens it means its your turn to come good again. Nobody can keep playing crap forever, except you know who.
I just did the same. 3 flags in a row after about 10 chopperfests in a row.

Have blown out to 4.4 by playing poorly, and at a bunch of unfamiliar courses. That's going to give me a daily of 6 off the golds at Brookwater!
