Time to bump this thread, as there is an event approaching.

I've been playing quite well over the last few months, so I look like peaking at just the wrong time for actually winning anything.

But all is not lost. i have been ignoring rainy weather just so I can get rounds in, and get closer to eliminating flags. I had a run of seven non-flag rounds in a row, so down was the only way handicap could go. But in some next level farming, I've discovered that if you pull the plug early, but still put the card in, they'll accept your 20 point score and help you get closer to the next flag round.

It still probably won't help me much. My next flag round is in three rounds time, and its a high flag anyway, so I'll still be in a position where I have to play out of my skin just to play to handicap on difficult courses I've never seen before..

No SA Champs prizes for me I suspect.

Winning the medal round at the start of the Month did me no favors costing me 0.6 but in the grand scheme of things didn't do much damage as most places will have me playing off the same.
If I got 1 more comp round in before Champs it would drop my equal second lowest flag and get some of it back. Unfortunately I wont get that round in.

I ended up getting that game in and got that 0.6 back just in time for Champs this weekend.

    Sandbaggers, the lot of you.

I've got to keep my cap low enough to get into the Kooyonga vardon the week after champs

6 of my last 8 rounds are counters, but I have stayed the same or gone out each time. I have been on my soft cap for the last 11 as well! Consistent mediocre!

Last handicap report before the SA Champs. I managed to play a woeful round today to ensure a flag was dropped. The gain was a massive 0.1 for a final total of 6.1. No flags drop off for the next two rounds, so that is where it will stay.

Realistically, if I can record a round of 32 points in SA I'll probably be happy with that.

2 rounds of struggling to average much more than a point a hole sees another flag fall off and a 0.3 gain.
Only 2 single digit flags remaining. Next 4 rounds to drop out are all flags.

I'm one round from my soft-cap (6.2). I've been through a patch of pretty average golf but feel like I'm now hitting it really well, and once my short game clicks I'm going to shoot something in the 60s and be accused of sand-bagging.

Blowing out is fun, I really enjoy it now. Gives you some shots/space to work on your game and try stuff.

    Default Ozgolf tractor society

Driving it like a Boss atm.
2 games ago 36pts winning A Grade and went out 0.5.
Last game 22pts and went out 0.4
Just shy of a full shot gain in 2 games.
Next round is a flag too so chop that round for more gain.

A 1.9 came off today, but I replaced it with a 3.7 so only gained 0.2. Need a bigger tractor if I want more strokes at champs...

Good form is better than a big handicap

Only got a 0.1 gain from yesterday’s game at Blackwood.
1 full shot in 3 games is not a bad effort. Looking at my last 20 rounds I have rounds less that 30pts counting for flags.

Last 2 games stopped the Tractor dead in its tracks.
35pts at Royal Adelaide cost me 0.4 and 35pts at Nhill cost me 0.3.
Upside sees me still on double digits.
Was great catching up with my pre-OzGolf mates I used to travel with regularly for a game at Horsham and they all have to give me between 2 and 4 shots. They claim unfair as they ae so used to me previously giving them 2-4 shots

I'm doing this blow out and stay on double digits all wrong atm .
36pts at Kapunda and 37pts at Balaklava in consecutive games has cost me a full shot seeing my GA back back into singles .

From a lowest ever of 4.7 at the end of last summers fun and games, its been a tale of woe.

Soft capped for the first time, out to 7.9, giving me a daily of 10. Golf could be fun again with shots everywhere!

And now less than a shot off hard anchor, with 4 rounds of club champs ahead.

This isn't going to end well
