I don't think I've ever owned a tractor. The Matchbox Cars didn't even have one available back when I had an interest in such things.

In support of my application I submit the following information: I have three flags to defend in my next four rounds. By an amazing coincidence there is an SA Champs coming up, too.

The good ol' Chamberlain. I remember back in the day the cane harvesting contractors mostly used Chamberlains to tow the bin trailers because they just wouldn't die. This was before specialized transporters and the tipping bins they use now.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Damn. Just checked Golflink and I still have 3 more rounds to drop off my lowest.
Better get harvesting in the next 3 weeks before champs.

3 flags in the next 5 ranging from played to 9-4.4 and no single digit replacement in the none flagged .
4 comp games locked in before Kitchener Cup. Might have to sneak in a midweek comp the week I'm on arvos to get the 5th one

All my farming efforts are just about over.

My next two rounds are non-flags, then a high one, then another non-flag before a 6.2. I might get to that one either just before, or even on the Saturday of the Champs.

By then, I'm hoping that my finely-tuned golf process will be ready for handicap reductions, not last minute farming for the Sunday round.

Witnessed an almighty tractor this morning by a fellow Ozgolfer.
We all turned fairly evenly then watched in amazement of 6 pluses in a row. Well I can still smell the hardbrake as he proceeded to wipe the last 3.
    Champs winning form there!

OK, my final SA Champs handicap farming efforts are in. As a farmer, I'm a failure.

My final round before the champs was a good one, so my last two rounds have been flags.

Final SA Champs handicap will be 6.2, and there are no flags in my next three rounds, so the cap can only go down while in SA.

My next concentrated farming effort won't be until the Qld Champs next year.

    I can beat that.

Today's round was 37, but the rating was 70, so I also got 0.1 back.

A bit earlier in the year I had a 37 and got 0.5 back, because a 42 points was dropping off. It's a strange game, this farming.

Went away for three days, and the major trophy was awarded on aggregate of best two rounds.

    I did a Bradbury with 36, 20, 37.

The Vic Champs participants probably forgot about this thread to chronicle their handicap manipulation before their big event.

I've just had a close study of my golflink details in preparation for the NSW Champs in May. I should have a possible four flags to replace between now and then. None of them are really low ones, so I wouldn't think I can engineer the major spike in handicap that I probably need.

By the time of the actual Champs, I should be in a long stretch of no flag rounds, so there will be no late movement of the cap (unless I play well and the cap goes down).

I fully expect all of my fellow NSW players to be scrupulously honest in their handicap dealings. No late handbrakes for us!
