Can't be a 'last update' scenario, my cap has never been as low as what is showing.

No, it is not your current handicap, it is the cap that you can’t move more then 5 shots from for the next 12 months.

Look at your record in Golflink, it says your cap is 6.4. The handycap app would be drawing the information from there. Originally Posted by AndyP

Sydney Hacker is correct, it is your lowest handicap from the past 12 months. It is the value that your handicap isn't allowed to be more than 5 shots greater than. If you log into golf.org.au and look up your handicap there you can see it down the bottom

I haven't used Golflink, since they required a log in, so I didn't know that they had changed the wording from "anchor" to "cap" either. I rely on this cool app instead. Sorry for my misunderstanding.
6.4 as a cap is so much better than 6.1.

He is testing an updated version on TestFlight which works, posted about it on the Facebook discussion page.
I think it has to do with where he drags the information from, so that is potentially the problem with the normal app.
