Thread: Asian Tour

I noticed that Steve Elkington is at -5 after 2 rounds of the Macau Open 4 shots from the lead. Australian players are swarming all over the top 6 or so places. Brad Kennedy is leading at -9 Kane Webber and, Scott Strange are -8 and, Marcus Both at -6.

Australians filled 5 of the top 6 placings at the Macau Open today. Kane Webber won with a score of -9.
    Anyone know much about Kane?

Kane is from Lismore NSW. Full scholly to U of Colarado. Played Gateway or similar pay to play last year and I`m told broke even. Qualified for Asia this year but missed first few because of visa`s etc.

    Many thanks for that info.

An Aussie has won on the Asian Tour for the second consecutive week with Scott Strange winning the Philippine Open by 5 strokes.

Check out some of these scores.

Was talking to Nashy's Dad Trev yesterday and he said Simon said before the tournament started that it would be unresting to see what scores were going to be like.

He obviously felt it was going to be tough.

Kane Webber was another (along with Brad McIntosh) who played in the JNJGF championships against my brother. It's quite exciting to see people you know of playing well.

Couldn't find an Asian Tour thread, other than this old one.

Marcus Fraser tied for the lead with Westwood and Kaymer in the final round. Sergio has a putt to shoot 28 on the back 9, after a 40 on the front!

The Scott Hend thread is the defacto Asian Tour thread, as that is where he plays (and had a top 10 today).

It seems to me that Marcus Fraser is a bit of a non-winner. Gets in contention fairly often but never closes it out.
