Nice. Is that a KLP7J? Looks great. I've got a KLP7JS on order. Can't wait to get it.

    This thread is killing me!

Had not heard of or seen these Lajosi putters anywhere other than on this forum. I have to be honest, I don't see the appeal, they look a bit 'amateur-ish' to me, am I on my own here?

Don't know if you're on your own but I definately don't agree with you on that. Just seen one that got delivered to one of the other guys on here (so Kari's latest work) and you definately couldn't say it was lacking in quality. Looked very impressive.

Check out his work here: http://puttertalk.com/community/index.php?board=102.0

Look through a few of the pages. His work with Damascus steel (forging his own billets!) is particularly impressive. There are some very cool putters on there.

By the look of the pics here I would say the workmanship is first class, for me though I can't see the fuss, they all look horrible.

It needs to be remembered this is an AUSSIE that started making putters out of his workshop. This is NOT supported or backed by a mass company nor other golfing industry brands. The majority of these are individual sticks made for the love of the game and putters and made to experiment with different designs and shapes.

Anyway, probably discussion for the other Lajosi thread. Mods can you maybe move this and keep this thread just for pics and positive comments?

I'll try and get some pics up later...

This will float your boat, Damo ... Ping TR 1966 Anser 2. As good as the original, but with a grooved face. (Looks twice as sexy with a worn red gripmaster featherlite grip.)

I like Lajosi stuff. It has personality and looks 'friendly', in that you want to be around it.

I'm the same with furniture. Most of my stuff, I've either refinished of built from scratch, to minimise the catalogue look and feel.

ps. Ironically, the Anser version of the above putter, even with a sound slot, looks very ordinary due to having a monochrome PVD finish.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Here's a taster. Owned these two a couple of years back. The DD201 on the left and Sensor on the right. These were both 345g at 35". The DD201 is one putter over the years that kept the Bullseye out of the bag for at least 3 games! They both had deep mill and grip master leather grips which made them feel very soft and a lot different to the Bullseye

In true Ozgolf style something else caught my eye and I moved them on, something I regretted.

Actually has a following over on Puttertalk and also a bit on GolfWRX, so he's doing ok!

    It sure is a KLP7J

I must also say Kari has some of the best customer service I've ever encountered.
I went to his workshop to test out a few heads before settling on which one suited and going from there spec wise.
There were two heads I couldn't make a choice between.
Kari told me to take them both for a couple of weeks to try them out and see which one suited me best on course.
He didn't know me from a bar of soap, so I was really impressed that he'd loan them to me for that long.

I'm sure you'll love yours Jazz
I sure as hell love mine

I've had more than a few, including one that I will probably buy again in the future.
But these are the two in my garage. Both a custom, either with my name or personalised.

The first one is 'The Swan'. Crazy neck, no offset.

The second is 'The Mum'. It's a DD201 with a shortened plumbers neck. Still haven't rolled it yet

Unless you want to say you like the emperor's new clothes. That's allowed in this thread.

Nice Timah! Swan neck is nice and unique but the Mum putter looks really sharp.

    Part 2...

So after visiting Kari's workshop during the Vic champs early this year I got the bug again!

As I liked the previous DD201 bar the deep mill face and the the site line, plus it also being a little light and the grip master to me lacked feel and was a tad soft, I went about designing a Custom. Turns out it wasn't too far from the original! But came up with the following DD201:

Brushed Stainless. 350g. Rounded top line. Site Dot. Hand stamped apart from sole text. Plus had a Lojosi Pure grip installed which I am really liking. Anyway pics (taken on course today! ) as this is what this thread is all about:

Thanks Rich. Yeah 3 rounds in now and she's still going well. Had a minor 3 putt incident from not very far yesterday, but still managed only 29 putts. So 3 rounds in at Monash, Cabra and Camden Lakeside and it's averaging 30 putts. It's holding position in the bag for the moment

And yeah thanks for your tips on the paintfill made it much easier, as did having the right paint.

No worries mate. They were tips I got from another ozgolfer so I can't take all the credit. It came up really nice though.

Great that it's still working too. Looking forward to getting one of my own to roll!
