Hi Guys,
Im back playing regular weekend golf after a 5 year layoff. Was looking for a Aus site that has all the info on equip and hints and tips so looking forward to getting involved.
Playing off 22 at the moment which is basically what i finished up at before i gave up.
Hit the ball super long but super inaccurately and for some stupid reason i cant hit an iron to save myself atm.
Cheers

Welcome KK. A bunch of us SA Ozgolfers played Lake Albert earlier this year. Nice layout.

Welcome to the nut house KK.
Check out the 1st Tee thread for S.A games and feel free to join us.
Let me know when your Open is on and I'll add it to the list of Country Opens. I'm sure a few of us would go up for this if it doesn't clash.
One of the best layouts in S.A.
I'd go so far to say if the Par 3's had a bit more variety/variation it would be the best. I'll play there again any day.
Pity the great greens were killed off by the Lake getting very salty during the water shortage years in the Murray.
They had to go to a salt resistant grass with a much courser leaf as a result. You've got to do what you have to.

I remember it like it was yesterday, ripping up the old greens and putting the new ones in
Just seemed so wrong ripping up such beautiful greens but as you've mentioned we simply had to do it.
Thanks for the kind words on the course, we have a great group of volunteers who spend a lot of time making it such a great course.
When I find out the open dates I'll let you know for sure
