I'm writing a letter to Ronald, although I'm still waiting for a reply from the last one.

Congratulations Captain Cooked, our token who couldn't find his Chequers token. Great few days golfing for everyone (ignoring scores). Great company, phenomenal weather, excellent tracks. Sad to have Shadesy absent.

Hopefully all those bastards who faked illness to avoid the Naga will be back next year.

Very big thanks to all the WAnkers for a great weekend.

Courses were superb and weather perfect but as always it's the people who make these things worthwhile. I had lofty expectations and you lived up to them.

It was a genuine pleasure to meet you all.

    Congrats champ!

Once again thanks to everyone for making the last four days what they were. Big thanks to Vic for Thursday night, and great to see you take out the title!! Shadesy and Simmsy, awesome effort with organising everything.
Great mix of courses, all different and special in their own ways. Joondalup Quarry and Wanneroo GC were my favourites, still can't believe Wanneroo green fees are only $50, great value for money.

If ever you guys come to Brisbane let us know, and we'll make sure we take care of you.

All apologies I could not make this event despite being in town - would had been too risky with work.

Will make a concerted effort to attend next years WAnker cramps

Next time I am down I might organise a day off and perhaps we can hit up Kennedy Bay + a beer or 2 hundred.

Well done on organising the event.

What happens when a Yoss, a 3pp, and a Lagerlover are in the same general vicinity? Is some form of critical mass formed?

We had to abide by no fly zones yesterday so it was nape of the earth type helicoptering.

I honestly didn't think 3pp had it in him.

Not the first time I've used that line either..

After your helicopter on 10, Lager looks at me, "I guess that pretty much wraps it up?"

"Yes Lager, you are in the clear for the anger management, your a spaz award".

Have not posted in awhile - thought I'd save it all into one post...

Thank you, gentlemen, for a great weekend of golf and fun. Although a limited field, it was enjoyable nonetheless. Always great to catch up with the WA guys. Bergsey, still good looking – good to catch up at Yokine. When I had my 6-month time off, tried to get more value out of golf but found it difficult. Hopefully, you’ll be more successful both on-course and more importantly, off-course.

Yoss, always great value on and off the field. Amazing change to your game - spectacular driving!

Had fun meeting two more genuine Ozgolfers in 3PPete and Lagerlover. Thank you for making it out to WA. Just goes to show how strong the OZGolf community is and how valuable it is in our lives.

Kudos have to go to Shadesy for organising and the selection of the courses. Sun City and Wanneroo was suited to my game through my past Pennant experiences.

Always great to see Adlo and Simmsy, the guys that started this event 10 years ago and still very strong influencers. Thank you for your support and involvement. There was talk that Adlo could Skype in for next year’s event while he is away. Could be our first hybrid-virtual event.

Always is awe of JC’s ball striking and recovery abilities. Seeing him use a driver more frequently and the distance and accuracy would have Nuffie jazzing out of all three orifices. It was great playing three rounds with JC as I believe I was channelling him at Wanneroo with the number of recovery shots and extreme putting. I think I more than 80% from outside 15 feet. My own putting skills were still there unfortunately as I was about 50% from inside 6 feet. Playing with JC helped me to be successful this weekend as I treated it as a Matchplay comp where I had 10 handicap shots first day plus 4 more because of the lead on the second day.

I had a lesson on Monday evening for an hour. Did not have any other practice sessions. Yokine and Joondalup were poor as I had committed to applying what I had paid for in learnings – lost a total of 6 golf balls! I managed to get a comp round at my home course on the Saturday morning as well where I lost two balls.

The most enjoyable round was Marangaroo, our traditional informal casual round (money game) still lived. Great little venue and the greens conditioning was reminiscent of the money game on previous country tracks. Weather was great, felt like there was no one on course and decreasing lighting at the end. Great fun having the old team of Yoss, Adlo and JC.
