Jeabuz...help a man with queries and all of a sudden hosting...

Manjimup is a surprising track and I would drive out there to play it again. Denmark will be good as long as its dry. Greens are still way too slow for my liking but its a fun little country track.

    Hi All

I know you have been waiting with anticipation on this. I am still finalizing details so in true WAnker spirit this could change last minute but the plan is:

    Thursday March 30

    Course: Manjimup Country Club - $TBC (<$30) around 12pm tee-off
Accommodation - Fontys Pool Caravan Park (Price TBC)

    Friday March 31

    Course: Denmark Country Club

Saturday April 1/Sunday April 2 - Perpetual WAnker trophy

    Course: Albany GC

Accommodation - TBC, several nice large chalets available at Emu Point. Should be around $60-70 a night. Will book for 3 nights so we can travel back Monday, but have asked for 8am tee time on Sunday for those who want to get back that night. Chance for a game on Monday on the way back if keen.

Have booked for 16 people everywhere, so please express your interest.

It's about 2/1/2 hours to Manjimup and then again to Denmark, plus about 4-5 hours back from Albany.

Can the Mods give me access to the first Post in this thread?
Why exactly do I need to answer to you?

Albany should be pretty nice around then.

You are staying just down the road too. Good little cafe at the water for breakfast...great fish and chip shop...just no pub

Saturday will be comp day....so get in on that

Course is starting to look real nice, still playing hard...despite the appearance. Start practicing your tee-ball shots peoples...lots of fairway shots with the ball being up near your knees

Just a heads up for planning guys. The Albany GC...is pretty pathetic when it comes to food and alcohol.

Bar doesn't open before 3:00pm on Sat, but you can get beers from the pro shop. The ONLY food you can get, even at presentations is Hot Chips and packet chips...oh a basic little cheese plate too. So don't plan on eating there

Its embarrassing and I would hope they change it. The good news is Emu Point has a great Fish and Chips, Middleton beach has 2 "tavern" type setups and is at the far end of the course, so nice and close. Inswing is the sports bar in town...GREAT food...one of the best Chicken Parmas you will have AND some amazing burgers etc. Small range of beers but also has electronic golf booths for those who want to keep playing.

So should be a pretty good weekend. Emu point has a bowling club too so I reckon they might be up for letting some guys in to have a few drinks

    ACCOMMODATION UPDATE

    Manjimup - Around $50 a night

    Albany - http://www.emubeachchalets.com.au/
Total cost for 14 people for 2 nights: $ 920

There are some spare top Bunks in this room, so we can add up to 16 people if we will. That's $65 a night.

So all 3 nights Accommodation should be $180!
Golf Would not costs much north of $100 for 4 Rounds.

To start to book this accomodation, I will start needing deposits shortly. 50%.

Joop Thai goes up and down...looks like you got it on a good night.

The Venice is a good spot too (one of the waitresses is about to win a major modelling contest and was always worth a visit), The White Star, 3 degrees, due south right on the water...there is a also an amazing French place down here...big long table...pretty awesome. So plenty of other places to eat away from the GC

Emu beach chalets look much better online than they do in person.

Well, Mandurah and Bunbury Holiday park chalets weren't exactly the Hilton? And the one out near The Vines was pretty average.

I've stayed there, they are an upgrade on all of those.
