Finally watching Oppenheimer; half way through. If this is anything what it's like having a discussion with someone with ADHD, I really really pity Robyn.
It's not necessarily the speed or amount of dialogue, but also the continual jump cutting of scenes. We're here, we're there, we're here again, now we're over there...

The movie moves very fast as the story is detailed and long. Hence the 3 hour runtime

If you feel like a bit of a mind f#$* give Poor Things a gander! Some serious psychedelics were involved in the making of this movie. Enjoying watching something so whack, though. Weird as shit.

I haven't seen it yet (only the trailers), but the Directors previous films include The Lobster, which may well be one of the most ****ed up movies I've ever encountered.

I saw Dune: Part Two on the weekend.

Absolutely stunning visuals (as expected) and brilliantly executed on the whole. My only criticism would be that I feel as though it was a little disjointed in comparison to part one. There were bits when it was obvious that some time had passed since the last scene, but there were little to no clues on exactly how much time (i.e. was it days, weeks or months?).

He certainly condensed the timeline of the story, quite significantly. I think there was probably only 6 months or less through the entire timeline of the story, whereas in the book that timeline would be years. Not that I've seen it "properly" yet...

I also saw the trailer for Civil War, which looks like a forboding but scarily possible tale.

Watched Equalizer 3 today and enjoyed the movie a lot. Fan of 1 and 2 also.

Agreed, he just didnt get enough into the 1st film and condensed 2 thirds of the book too much.

    No Spacing Guild
    No Gurney hunting Jessica.
No Changi and Paul's kid killed by the Sardaukar
Ships traveling from their home planet to Arrakis overnight
    No Mentats.
It had a bit of the Game Of Thrones, "its about engagement other than story" with people teleporting everywhere.
and as you say - you had no idea about how much time had passed.

I understand why.. but should have been 3 films or way more in the first film

There is a shitload in the book! I did miss Alia's involvement at the end. I guess I can understand it, though.

A new contender for the worst remake ever, Roadhouse.

Low expectations and unfortunately still astounded at how bad it was.

There's plenty of stuff out there about how McGregor was a revelation in this!

Saying that, woke early and watched the truly awful Moonfall yesterday (I knew it was bad prior, was hoping it might put me back to sleep). Makes Armageddon look like an academy award winner and have you thinking that maybe McGregor deserves a nom for best supporting actor but well miss out because of Roadhouses lack of cinema release (I assume). The director was complaining about it not being released.

Didn't mind Road House. But won't go out of my way to watch it again. Missed some chunks as I was also cooking dinner, may have made it an easier watch.

Macgregor played himself pretty well. Not sure why they are talking about it being a revelation, although the females at home appreciated his first and last scenes.
