Went to see Wonder Woman. Quite enjoyed it. Was better than I expected.

I took the kids on the weekend, they loved it and I thought it was pretty good. Gal Gadot... very very special!

Thought they did a better job with the characters in this, maybe made me care about them more. Pine was good too. Is Gal the first DC actor to have ownership over their role now? I'm not as critical of the other movies as many - superman was ok, bvs was ok, suicide squad was utter utter tripe (and that's not even being harsh).

Ha, I kinda liked Suicide Squad, although I saw it after everyone said it was crap so expected crap. The Joker was awful. If I went in expecting it to match the hype it had generated I think I would have hated it.

    Have not seen the others.

I was really looking forward to it....... The only good bits were in the trailers, and when you saw these bits in the context of the rest of the scene they became less good bits. The joker was absolutely horrendous. The croc dude and capt boomerang.... The second half is beyond shit...... Makes shit stuff look good! I'm a huge fan of superhero movies and sci-fi, but this was shocking. The director, producer and writers deserve to never work again.

I was going to see it in the cinema, but changed my mind once reviews started coming out. So the same as you, I wasn't expecting much but still came away disappointed!

Caught the oldie Firefox last night. The CGI was obviously dated but Clint can make most movies swim a bit.

Yeah, you've gotta watch it with its age in mind. Great flick, think I still have it recorded from the last time it was on. Wonder when it'll get a remake, granted the cold war stuff might not work.

I didn't mind Passengers.......... supposedly it lost a bit of popularity/audience due to some of the subject matter........ but I thought it was relevant and ok. Not that it was anything that controversial or anything.

As a Matt Damon fan, have no interest in TGW.

Well i exorcised my damons and it wasn't that bad at all. Doesn't run overlong which helps and they don't get overly hung up on a possible love story.

Watched 'It Was 50 years ago Today, Sgt Peppers and Beyond'. Within the first seconds I realised I'd been conned into one of those 'unauthorised' docos that can't use any 'authorised material.

So no interviews with Paul, Ringo or Yoko (closest they got was Pete Best), no music from the album in the title or any Beatles music whatsoever. Instead, we have third party newsreel footage of the band travelling about the place (including Adelaide), and newsreel interviews with the band.

Lots of info about the private life of Brian Epstein from talking heads who seemed at least one degree of seperation from the band, like Patty Boyd's sister and the guy who wrote their first biography etc.

There were a few sprinklings of interesting trivia intermingled with Beatles History we've heard many times before but mostly this was very disappointing.

Actually, I feel quite exploited by this. It quite obviously was made simply to cash in on the said anniversary (as cheaply as possible), and not much else!

Deja vu lol. Come to think of it I watched a movie of the same name starring Denzel Washington a few weeks back and really enjoyed it.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy v2 yesterday. As a comedy, the first half is good. I didn't get much else out of it.

Just watched Jack Reacher (first one)
Really not sure what they are trying to do. I'm watched the special and they said they didn't want a Mission Impossible Ethan Hunt clone....
Doesnt feel like they did the book justice

yeah.... nah... going to give it a miss... I'll stick with the audio books...
I rented this with The Mummy and John Wick 2 on a special from a Kiosk... guess my luck was pretty bad to have 3 stinkers...

John Wick 2 was majorly disappointed after the first one....

Kingsman 2 - The Golden Circle.

Had a bit of a chuckle at some of the absurdity. Guess that's where they were trying to go.

Took the bride to Battle of the Sexes. A bit of history, a bit of comedy, a decent representation of sport, a little girl on girl action, a bit of 70s chauvinism.
