    Default howdy all

    Hi All

seems i probably jumped the gun a little without getting in and saying hello here.
anyway, been playing golf for just on a year frequently. before that was a once or twice a yearer.

now a member at the prestigious melbourne airport golf club.

started on a generous handicap of 28, down to 19 now.
hoping this year to drop that down as far as i can go!!

people here been great already with their insight, looking forward to more of it.

Nah, it's literally behind Melbourne airport. The runway allows planes to take off and land right above the 17th green. Not a bad view, tad noisy though.

Welcome Slug. I'm guessing there's no point trying to put you off your game if you're used to putting with an A380 going overhead?
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

    G'day Slug.
    Fighting the good fight!

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    Welcome Slug.

You didn't happen to come from Sydney originally did you? Northern beaches specifically.
